Microsoft's Outlook gorges on Web2.0 junk food

FAIL

Comedy

We've been using OSC with LinkedIn at work for the last few days. It had a comedy habit of downloading random people's profile photos and associating them with the wrong person. One of the ugly guys at work comes up as the fittest bird you've ever seen. Everyone else (10% ish) whose picture comes up wrong tends to be a fat, bald old bloke.

When does a system become legacy?

The day it's delivered.

I work at banks - and a system can usually be described as legacy on the day it is delivered.

In reality though, legacy is just defined as something that someone wants to replace. If it's a happy mainframe app that's been doing its thang for 30 years and is ticking along fine, doing everything it is supposed to do nobody will want to replace it and it therefore will not be legacy!

The rings ...

The rings lifting off the floor were just a very thin mesh cloth which were held by the people 'flying' above. Point the frickin' lasers at the mesh, and they make the desired effect. Seen it before, but not done as well or as big.
