Steve Jobs hasn't - to the best of my knowledge - performed monkey-boy dances, or hurled furniture around his office.
Don't try to squeeze your irrational prejudice into a case where it doesn't fit...

Couldn't agree more, JDX. I've long realised I could never be a Jobs, Gates or Buffet.
Long before I was worth a billion, I would have thought "Sod this for a game of soldiers - I have enough to not have to come to work any more..."
It would be nice to have a few millions to give away though - but to real deserving causes, not just todays PC favourite.
It's not as bad as that in the UK:- US patent law is definitely akin to something conceived by Monty Python. The trouble is, its application has affected the mindset of companies all over the world.
That is an ever-growing problem:- that, and US patent attorneys, who have all the rapacity of the Mongol hordes - and their personal morality is at about the same standard
I care.
I love Macs., but I don't hate PCs.
Strikes me as being a little stupid to generically hate Macs, hate Windows, hate Linux, or hate Unix. I just love best that with which I'm comfortable, and which I find works best & easiest for me.
Getting a little pissed off with those who think their point of view is the only possible valid & correct one in the world, and anyone who differs is some kind of retard and/or deviant...
The UK system ain't that liberal.
Muggers let off whilst pensioners who don't pay council tax are immediately whipped inside?
Our benevolent liberal overlords don't really get too fazed if we plebs scrap amongst ourselves:- but if anything happens which challenges the authority of the Almighty State (i.e. their authority & position) then heaven help the perpetrator.
And if your perceived to be middle class (how the lefties hate the middle class), then using a water pistol to defend your home & family against armed burglars will as like as not see you incarcerated. The middle class could become a threat to the ruling elite, so they MUST be hammered into submission at every opportunity.
"...average Apple user..."
Pure sophism - or, as the 'average PC user' would more likely say, utter bollocks.
I've had four new Macs (Beige G3, Sawtooth G4, G5 Tower, and recently an 8-core MacPro) in the last 13 years, got my first iPhone 3 months ago, and have had nary a problem. My 6-yr old G5 tower is still in daily use and is a damned sight more usable than any 6-yr old PC would be...
"...constraint on channel bully..."
Taking a factual report on availability, spinning it, introducing unverified and unverifiable gossip re something as subjective as perceived attitude - and then presenting it as unbiased objective journalism.
I presume there's a masters in sophistry somewher in Mr Kunert's CV.
Await avalanche of downvotes and a diatribe spittle-flecked anti-Apple invective...
"He may be totally innocent.
He may have been used as 'cannon fodder'.
He may have been set up - yes it really does happen."
Yup. All are totally true,
"He may have been put upon for years by the authorities and just wanted to hit back."
The Brit hierarchy accepting their activities as a mitigating circumstance?
An interesting idea, but I'm sure the establishment would never permit it.
"We can all sit here in our cosy homes secure in the knowledge that it could never happen to us."
Well, those who still have homes can, but those who are a casualty of aberrant bankers possibly can't. As regards it "could never happen to us", I recognise your irony but the likelihood of, and the powers for, the state inflicting similar upon us has grown exponentially over the last decade-decade & a half.
Mostly presided over by that nice Mr Straw - you know, the ex-commie who was such a staunch libertarian in oppostion.
Why do lefties become so draconian when given just a smell of authority?

Is it just me, or is there a pattern emerging here?
I believe that this woeful fashion did indeed start behind bars:- and little scrotes adopt this 'fashion' to show "I is a hard gangsta, innit".
However, the drooping strides are generally considered to be due to having had one's belt confiscated (self-toppings are not really wanted on the Governor's record file), rather than an invitation for a little recreational buggery.
...but I bought a MacPro (April 2010) for home use, so I could work at home - we use CS5 and I was up til then carrying on with my 2005 G5 dual2.0 and CS3 - I still have that and I do use it..
The MacPro works very well; it's been upped to 12GB RAM, and had an additional three 1TB drives added and a second optical - a Samsung with Lightscribe capability. It will, I believe last me for at least another 3–4 years barring anything really wild happening with software and rendering it not usable but I do think that's unlikely.
In around 4–5 years time I will be at normal retirement age, and with the cash part of my pension I might think about upgrading to whatever is then cutting edge but until that time, I really can't see any benefit to upgrading other than being able to say "I got the newest".
"...I hate Apple with a passion..."
How pointless. How stupid.
You don't use their products but "hate them with a passion"?
Whoa - an anti-fanboi here - just another side of the same coin?
I use a Mac not a PC.
I don't hate HP/Dell/Acer/Anyone else "with a passion"
I use OSX in preference to Windows
I don't hate Microsoft "with a passion"
Reasoned discourse has more value than blind bigotry, but I guess it's less dull. Must be another effect of the tabloid culture pervading society...
Beer? - Have one, bro - and chill.
Check your dictionary:
Respond is not the same as Reply.
A stimulus might provoke a response without provoking a reply.
Deleting it is one response.
Training your Spam Filter is another.
Blocking the sender's email address is yet another - and that's just for 419ers.
Bad Tom. Naughty Tom. Telling Teddy off without checking...
...then I hope they're dealt with, with the customary tenderness & gentleness associated with far-eastern legal systems.
Although I'm over 60, I still spend a lot of time advising those older than me (and a surprising number who are younger than me) on how to respond to the variety of 419ers and similar ungodly who blight their time online.
A pox on them, a plague on all their houses, and I'm glad to see that some police forces still retain their cojones, unlike ours in the UK who have been metaphorically de-nadded by a proliferation of liberal-lefty judiciary and legal politicos, few of whom could count their fingers and come up with the same answer twice running.
