I still get poor battery life after 5.1 update

I installed the new update last night, I had it on charge over night and it had a 100% when I got in to work today, a couple of texts and 1 short phone call 5 updates to apps used 20% of my battery its worse than it was before, and I have turned off all the location services, whats up Apple!!

Price Fixing

In any other markets the competition authorities would be all over this like a rash, if every operator charges the same amount for the same minutes texts and internet, then they must surely have to act, it is in no ones interest to allow this sort of anti competative thing to take place, I bet they dont in france

Microsoft pledges to fight Vista 'myths'

Vista has fans

Well I am not one of them, it is complete bloatware, why should I have to install 2gb ram just to be able to use the system properly, yes you can run it on 1gb, but try to work in photoshop with just 1gb, XP on the other hand has been stable for a long time now and has much better software compatability than Vista does and uses a LOT less ram, I dont care if my desktop is pretty or not I just want it to work and not suck up all the system resources making me go and buy new hardware just to run a new OS, once I can no longer use XP then at least on my home machine I shall migrate to Ubuntu, at least my hardware will last a little longer, and I get the added bonus of not having to activate my OS, or make sure that it always has a connection to the net just so it can phone home from time to time to make sure that its still a leagle copy.

Microsoft says ‘hasta la vista XP’ - well, kinda

I have looked at vista both in the office and on the wifes shinny new laptop, and can only say this, vista is crap, legacy hardware support sucks, all control pannel objects have been moved to different locations, it was anoying when they did that between service packs, but not on this level, when I do come accross a vista machine it makes me feel like a home user trying to find anything, not to mention the product activation anoyance as well, also the system requirements 2gb ram just to be able to use the machine with comfortable performance, it does offer some nice features but these are all over shadowed by the bad stuff and there is a lot of bad stuff, for me its Ubuntu64 from here on, at least I dont have to buy a whole new machine just to run the os let alone any apps after that.
