Please ignore the net neutrality sideshow haunting Comcast's BitTorrent bust

Abdul Koroma

Net Neutrality Is Becoming A Farce!!

I think we've been too hard on the telcos all due to the net neutrality fanatics! Net neutrality itself is has now been hijack by the likes of Google who are bent on promoting their vause at the expence of the telcos. If you think net neutrality is for the ordinary users, then we are sorely mistaken:'http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=556&doc_id=160628&F_src=flftwo'

Why Microsoft???

MSFT is responsible for all this mayhem engulfing yahoo. MSFT is now erroneously believing that its online future is now entirely dependent on acquiring yahoo and as such is resorting to every imaginable ways to unsettle yahoo. I hope they fail in this their madness and then may be it will force them to rethink their strategy: Why Microsoft Should Forego the Acquisitions Route(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=625&doc_id=158193&F_src=flftwo)

FCC chief wants to throttle Comcast

Time for the FCC to redeem Its Image

Thumbs up for the FCC on this one!!One could only hope now that the punishment that will be given to Comcast will not make a mockery of things. I believe the FCC should use this case to improve on it sdwindling popularity. Critics have long been vehemently castigating the FCC for siding the big Telcos and not standing up for ordinary users who have been repeatedly abuse by these Telcos. With many critics questioning the usefulness of the FCC and some evn calling for its abolishment, it's time the FCC stand up and be counted: Abolish the FCC!(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=466&doc_id=140252&F_src=flftwo)

It will only get worse!!!

What were people expecting from a congress which has got the lowest approval rating in history? This congress does not have the muscle to stand against the president and has been bullied consistently. Wireless surveillance will continue irrespective of the government and it can only get worse according to a former victim : Warrantless Surveillance: The Worst Is Yet to Come(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=494&doc_id=143396&F_src=flftwo)

NebuAd plays cat and mouse with data pimping opt-out

The Ideal Solution:

The ISPs will never come clean on this behavioural ad targeting no matter how congress would want them to do. I think the ideal solution here is to have a new business model wherein the consumer owns the last mile and is free to connect to any service provider he or she wishes at a neighborhood, carrier-neutral interconnect facility, according to this article by a leading expert: Improving Internet Transparency(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=506&doc_id=154745&F_src=flftwo)

Four Reasons To Shun Google Lively!!!

Why The Desperation??

Why is MS so desperate to land a deal with Yahoo to the point that it will even go to the extent of undermining yahoo's board? Is Ms telling us that its online future now solely hinges on this deal with yahoo? Are there no other viable options besides this acquisition path? Why Microsoft Should Forego the Acquisitions Route(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=625&doc_id=158193&F_src=flftwo)

Congress still afraid to define 'internet gambling'

Abdul Koroma

Just legalize It NOW!!

Congress ambivalent on this issues just shows that it's time to accpet the reality and legalize internet gambling in all its forms as an analyst pointed out in this article: Online Gambling: Just Legalize It Already(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=544&doc_id=144147&F_src=flftwo)

RFID could kill you

Abdul Koroma

More studies needed!!

I'm not disputing the result of the studies but can't still find the connection. As one reader pointed out previously, the tags may not be the problem here. If this is truly the case, then future medical equipments should be built in a way that the RFID tags do not affect them. RFID tags will always be in use and with 'smart dust' also now on the horizon, it's time that further studies be conducted to ascertain the facts: We Are Smart Dust, We Are Golden ( http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=526&doc_id=152005&F_src=flftwo)
