What kind of tool?

"what kind of tool gets an elder scrolls game on a console?"

The "kind of tool" who'd rather not spend the price of the console just on a graphics card.

The "kind of tool" who doesn't want to keep upgrading their PC every couple of years to run the latest game.

I spend all day sat in front of a PC and the last thing I want to do is to go home and sit in front of a PC all evening to play a game. I like to play games casually, so it's nice to be able to go home, sit or lie out on a comfortable sofa and play the game without having to remember a load of key bindings.

If you want to play on a PC, get all the mods and change the scenery, gameplay, etc, then fair play to you and I'm sure you'll have a great time. No complaints or criticism from me. So don't criticize me for wanting to play on a console.

I understand that the PC users are cheesed off about the interface and how it's "dumbing down" for the console users. Blame the game creators for that, not the console users, it was the creators who made the decision to run with a one size fits all solution.

Actually it makes sense

If you had an alarm set to go off at 07:00 BST, then perhaps that was stored relative to GMT, i.e. 07:00 GMT +1 hour. When the clocks go back to GMT, the system time changes correctly, but the alarm time is still stored as 07:00 GMT +1 which is now 08:00.

Only conjecture, but it seems to explain why the alarm is 1 hour late. Why they can't just store the alarm time based exactly on the current system time goodness only knows.

Have you tried another machine through the same connection in case there's a network adaptor fault in the machine? If you've tried more than one machine and more than one router it sounds like BT is at fault."

Nnnooo.....Yes to the first part, the system isn't getting an IP address from the DHCP server, but given that the poster mentioned that it didn't get one when they tried to connect it through a different router, I'd suggest that there's a hardware fault, even though the OS isn't reporting any hardware faults. We had one user who'd spent ages doing all sorts of things trying to get their network connection sorted out and we fixed it in 30 seconds by setting the wireless switch on the laptop to "ON".

I don't see how you can get from the information supplied that the fault lies with BT. They'd on'y supply the network address to the local router surely?

Navy sonar dolphin 'massacre' - the facts

How'd they get there?

One thing that no-one's mentioned is an alternative reason for why the dolphins ended up there in the first place. I know that they use sonar to communicate and "see" what's around them, but what do they use to navigate over a distance? Surely magnetic fields are more likely for that, and given the fact that the earth is going through a natural reversal in magnetic poles, it wouldn't surprise me if this sort of thing becomes more common.
