iMovie for iPhone 4

Thumb Up

Back on topic ...

Here's a wee example I cooked up - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTXBe7SfJSw&hd=1

Completely agree with the review - it's a good app, but not great. However if 5 years ago someone told me I could edit High Definition video on the go, using the device I shot it on, I'd have called them a liar.

It might not be perfect, but hopefully apple can make some good improvements, or inspire someone else to come up with a better implementation, because it's damn good fun to faff about with this stuff.

Labour calls for free Wi-Fi on trains

Go

NXEC and Virgin have it.

So why not Scotrail? The main commuter lines would only need the same satellite and 3G access that NXEC offer. I travel between the Motherwell and Edinburgh every day on one of their trains and whilst the service isn't perfect it is very usable. That train goes through some extremely backwater places too.

Okay if I go to google.com it thinks I'm in sweden because of who provides the trainband service, but it's free.

Very useful, even for a visitor

I made my first visit to London 2 months ago for a conference and I bought this app on the way down. It came in very useful even day to day but it saved our bacon on the final day of the conference when the line we were trying to use was "delayed for 2 or 3 minutes". When that became 5 I quickly replanned using a different route and we got to the conference on time. It later transpired that 2 or 3 minute delay was well over an hour. So job well done and all thanks to this app.

Vodafone prices up HSDPA-bundled Dell netbook

No chance of bundling phone and PC?

I want a data package to use with a "small cheap PC" and a phone. I can't be alone in this surely. For £35 a month I'd be happy with a mid-range phone and a PC I could use for most of the net access.

The price of selling my soul ....

N95 needs upgraded come october. The N96 looked the safe bet until steve pulled this out of his magic khakis last night.

There was no doubt that iPhone 1 was very beta. Lovely in what it did but sorely lacking in what it didn't.

iPhone 2 looks spot on though. Can't believe I'm saying that.
