Rights holders stump up a loseable deposit

Make the rights holders pay a deposit that they get back if they win.

After all if they are so sure, they'll get it back. Simples.

Memory

My little 8 year old Nikon doesn't need a SD card, it has 14Mb internal memory. You can put a card in as well of course. But you can get quite a lot of pics on internal. So i can save to internal the pics I want to keep and give the copper the SD card with a couple of pics on it. Done.

It's about time we had some actual concrete laws in this country.

Disappointingly pointless

I initially hoped that this "exact replica" would in fact be an exect replica.

However it's just a PC in a C64-alike case. So what's the point.

How disappointing that there's no SID chip etc.

Data protection and surveillance: Swapping the speed camera for ANPR?

ShaggyDoggy

Tilt

ANPR cams are up poles. Work out the angle range that the hemispheres reflect back to cam. Tilt your plate from the top ever so sligthly so that the reflect will not hit the cam. Plate still perfectly visible to a human in visible light (check the regs)

ShaggyDoggy

IR heat

There's heat at both ends of the car - radiator and exhaust.

A small diversion of some of that heat onto the plate is all that's needed.

Only needs to be on one character.

Or you could clingfilm the plate.

Or laminate it.

Or spray it with transparent suncream.

Or realise that ANPR uses UV not IR

X-rays are absorbed by water vapour in the air, otherwise we'd all be fried by incoming. They can also travel a long way e.g. from Cygnus X-1

Submarines don't issue 'ping' sonar sounds, they digitize samples of the "sound of the sea" taken a random time earlier, and transmit that, the refelected pattern bit-shifted in time, it doesn't have to be a ping you see, any sound will do, so sea sounds are very non-noticeable.

The transmission through metal bit, try thinking at a molecular level.

ShaggyDoggy

Scrolling

My defence is ...

You see that image at the right hand side of this very page "Ultra Fast Broadband" well I only "viewed" that when I SCROLLED DOWN but of course it is still in cache.

Had I not scrolled down I would have no knowledge even of its existence, which is important if it had been, for example, a woman having sex with a tiger.

Therefore I say that the presence of an image in cache does not prove that I even viewed said image, and the prosecution needs to prove that I did, personally, and not another person using this same computer too.
