The only thing "Advent" on it is the sticker with the word "Advent" on it. It is just a straight MSi Wind with the badge changed.

Oh, and PC World definitely beat Asus to it, they have been selling them in-store for a few days now.

With the way Asus are treating 900 owners in the UK with the useless battery, this Dell looks like an ideal alternative. If it launches at a reasonable price I will be ditching my Eee900 for one of these.

Come on Dell, get it to market quick.....

It seems The Reg is still licking the hand of Asus, at least PCPro is still following the EeePC battery farce and have now got an admission from Asus about the deficient 4400mAh battery.

EeePC 900 BATTERY - UK RIP OFF!

I would also like to know what ASUS thought they were doing packaging their old Surf 4400 mAh batteries with the UK PC900's.

ASUS seem to be ignoring all emails asking why, but for some reason ASUS were quick to change the inferior battery for the proper 5800mAh battery in Hong Kong when there were complaints.

I think people should reconsider buying from a company like this that treats a segment of customers so badly.

What happened? The Reg doesn't even seem interested in the story, I wonder why?

Asus speaks out on UK Eee PC 900 battery issue

ASUS is still not telling the truth, it's nothing but a UK RIP-OFF!!!

So the UK gets the inferior old Surf battery because ASUS have to comply with EU law? what a joke!

If their "excuse" about the warranty was actually true why are their reports on the forum at www.eeeuser.com of Italians buying EeePC900's in Italy from authorised stockists (ie. not grey imports) BUT SUPPLIED WITH THE PROPER 5800 mAh BATTERY? Or has Itely suddenly left the EU?

Come on ASUS, either do the right thing and upgrade the batteries of the early adopters, say, everyone who registered before 20th May, OR tell us you don't care about the UK market.

Maybe then we can vote with our wallets and move on to the products from a more ethical company.
