The irritating thing about this story ( aside from the depressing statistic that every single fact mentioned in it is wrong ) is that the dumb bastards are using this bollocks to try and ban the importation and interstate transportation of a whjole slew of animals.

This will penalise thousands of honest reptile keepers and effectively shut down large sections of the pet trade.

They bleat that this is about conservation but yet cats and dogs are allowed to eat the native wildlife at will with n'ery a peep.

Only parts of florida will EVER be affected - the climate in the other places mentioned will not support a population of any of the species of python and no boa constrictor comes close to being as deadly as they claim.

As a side point the total deaths from snakes in the US in the past 20 years is..........

And this includes the native venomous snakes as well. The much hyped news stories are quietly updated as the truth comes out - the child "killed by a 12 foot burmese python" recently turned out to have been killed by the parents who tried to use the snake to cover it up. The snake was only 8 foot long by the way and being kept illegally in improper housing in the first place.

But I guess "drug selling lackwit kills own child - also keeps a snake" isn't as catchy a headline.

The idiots involved in this legislative fiasco are happily fellating PETA thinking they are kissing mother nature.

Oh and even their own experts are now backing hurriedly away from the population estimates originally claimed to be in the wild.

The more I see of people like this the more I like my snakes.

Have the temerity to want to use the service we are paying for at the times correctly identified as those the majority of people would choose to use the service.

Why doesn't VM stop trying to penalise customers for believing the obviously inaccurate marketing lies and maybe, oh I dunno, actually invest in a network capable of supplying the service they keep telling people they offer.

The heavy users are not "abusing" the service, they are "using" it.

The fact the network apparently cannot cope with that is not the users fault - in fact they may want to get the damage they do in writing as a nice legaly presentable document proving VM sold them a lemon of a service knowing that it was not fit for purpose.

And Paris?

Simply because the burkett customer experience reminds me entirely of a certain part of her anatomy.

Wouldn't it be better if you lead by example and have a front page that will load if the user has blocked mobile code, adverts and cookies on their machine via their firewall?

As it stands to read your warning not to allow dangerous behaviour you have to allow dangerous behaviour. ?? :-/ ??

The inbuilt vulnerabilities of IE are only part of the problem. The other part being the websites that demand the dodgy functions be enabled to display correctly.

Let's have a code of best practice on the part of site designers to lead by example.

As it stands the concept of "YOU ARE IN DANGER OF BEING BUTTHURT - kindly lower your trousers and turn around so we can tell you about it" seems to be adding to the problem of these zero days to me.

I am aware of firefox - the same sadly cannot be said for my banks website. And yes this is another bone of contention. ;-P

My biggest beef is his dismissal of established cannon and replacing it with his own version that is then never expanded upon to my geeky satisfaction. I demand detailed descriptions of RTD's version of the timewar dag-nabbit!!

I really liked Billie piper as the companion and Christopher Eccleston as the doctor really was an inspired choice. It would be nice of the next doctor was in a similar mold with a nice dark edge and the ability to display complexity of character while gurning like a demented monkey that just caught its nutsack in an alligator.

Bring back piper and the daughter (echo of the susan character?) and give us a doctor who looks like he could take you in a pub fight (though apparently he never would ;-) for looking at his pint in a funny way.

Oh and we should make them have a public vote before creating any more spinoffs.
