The title says it all really. Megapixels is a bit of a false scale when comparing compacts. The tiny size of their sensors mean that increasing the MP means smaller pixels, which means noisy images, which in turn means crap photos.
Considering that 6MP will produce a 10x8 inch print at photographic quality having a 14mp sensor on a compact is a bit like saying that this Robin Reliant has a Porche engine.

I'd go for the ixus80, smaller sensor = less noise, and because it is DigicII you can play with the open source firmware upgrade giving you tons of options. Like shooting in RAW.

AC, I assume that he is talking about the enforced famine (the Holodomor) of 1932-1933 in which 10% of the population of Ukraine starved to death, - approx 5 million) as for 'killed by the Jews' I would think he is referring to the fact that most of the leaders of Communisim and Bolshevism were Jewish - Stalin was not however.
Thirty Million is a large number, I have revised it down, and we can have a discussion regarding this without fear of arrest. Were this topic otherwise this would not be the case.
I don't think ANY sane person can dispute the deaths of millions at the hands of the Nazis however we should be allowed to discuss and - if something is found out to be incorrect - change without fear of prison. It won't happen though will it?

Well, I for one am still here due to junk science.
If it wasn't for my cycle helmet It would have been my bare head smacking into the side of the kerb (at a fairly respectable 15mph if witnesses are to be believed). One cracked cycle helmet, one living stef.

Cyclists get it tight on the roads, I've had taxi drivers intentionally attempt to take me off my bike, people in their 4X4's thinking that it's cool to drive in excess of the 30mph speed limit less than a foot from you in suburban streets, busses, lorries, the list goes on.
Get out of your car and get onto a bike in whatever city you live in. I think it should be a requirement that every able bodied person who wants a driving license should have to cycle in their city for at least a month - then we might see some responsible driving.
You'll need a model release for anyone who can be identified in a photo, even if it is taken in a public place.
The only way you can not use a photo without a release form is if it is for editorial/news use. Stadium shots in a newspaper/magazine for an article are ok, not for an advert.

Also, 1000 HP's are intel boxes, just like the new generation of Mac's (there are plenty of HP hackintoshes out there) so I fail to see your point. There is no mention of OS but I'd guess they are not running windows, probably some linux distro designed to work well in a render farm.

While there is no doubt that the logo is derived from the earlier Phorm there are enough differences that mean they could get away with it. The font is different as are the treatment of the letterforms (i've just had a play with them in photoshop). They've got a decent designer to take the original Phorm logo and morph it just enough to make any legal comeback in doubt.

The hobbit will rock, it is a rollicking story that is filled with movie goodness, from the Trolls in the forest of Rhudaur (finding Sting and Glamdring) - the Goblin King, Smaug, Beorn, battles, dwarves, elves... it is a <i>winner</i>.
As for 'original story' - hell, Tolkien filled in the interval with the Necromancer of Southern Mirkwood, the fall of Saruman, the Balin's return to Moria, the battles of the Rohirrim, Aragorn and the rangers of the north, it's not as if it is a blank page. There is lots of material to base the other story on. :)

is fuxxing waaay stronger than the hash I smoked when I started back in the early 90's. The weed that is sold now is even more powerful than the orange bud I used to smoke in Amsterdam (and that was mind blowing).
I don't smoke any more - and tbpfh I don't miss it - but classing it back to B is just stupid. The only real issue here is that people smoke high grade hydro as if it's just normal grass and that means they 'are' impaired and susceptible to mental problems (yup, they do affect even normal people not given to mental problems).
It's like drinking 4% beer and then moving on to a 13% wine and not changing your drinking habits.
