@Owen Williams
I believe when the author used the term "sack of shit", he was using it in its technical context, so as long as it remains in that context, it would be perfectly acceptable to forward it along to colleagues.

Would you guys just stop calling the alt.* heirarchy "UseNet"?! They are NOT UseNet... they are AltNet...
UseNet isn't 'the newsgroups', it is just one set of heirarchies.
The AG doesn't have a problem with UseNet... UseNet has some pretty stupid rules for creating a new newsgroup, and only a handful of them are binary groups, and nothing to do with what the AG is trying to stop.
AltNet on the other hand, is the anarchy heirarchy. It is just as valuable as UseNet, even tho many of us find what's on them distasteful, it is the epitome of Freedom of Speech.
If he has a problem with the content on some specific AltNet groups, then fine, deal with the specific AltNet groups, and the specific AltNet posters who are doing it.
UseNet is NOT a generic term, and the alt.* heirarchy is NOT a part of UseNet...

It is the fact that they made it so it can't be removed as a move to thwart the courts.
Even now there is no good reason why IE has to be integrated with the underlying OS the way that it is. It is, so even if you did use another browser, you still couldn't remove IE, and there are some things that will launch IE and only IE no matter what you have your default browser set to.
Also, no reason why Windows Update has to be IE-based. Would probably even run a lot faster if it didn't use the browser to do its job.
Oh yeah... and I used to use Mosaic at the time... and they bought Mosaic out, and stripped out all of the features I liked to have, and turned it into IE... and those features have never, EVER, come back.
