Well, you did ask! What do I use most? Shazam, Facebook, Fring & Air Sharing. I have no qualms at all paying up to a tenner for an app/game, assuming it has proper functionality. These /stupid/ apps like iFart, why on earth anyone would pay even 99p is beyond me!!
"Nonetheless, a $199 (£110/€140) price tag would mean the phone costs much less than Apple’s iPhone 3G."
Unless I'm grossly mistaken, the last time I did maths in school, we were taught 110 is greater than 99. So, how the dickens is this £110 Android affair cheaper than the 8gig iPhone at £99?
Anyone have a clue why loaded applications (monkey ball for instance) work for a day, then need to be deleted and redownloaded (for free!) and installed again? Driving me potty!! I have Monkeyball, facebook, shazam & some other free game, all work for a day (or thereabouts), they upon trying to start the app, it looks like it's working, then you return to the home screen - v.annoying!
You only need a model release if the people in images can identify themselves, and, group photos, of stadiums for example, are generally covered by notices posted at said stadiums informing visitors that photography is undertaken and by attending such is approval enough. Even without this notice, public group photography is generally allowed in editorial/reportage instances, and where do you most see Getty images? In the press, of course.
Of all the images I've submitted to various stock photography sites, none allow any image to be used in a derogatory way. For instance, taking a stock photo of some pretty lass, smiling, wouldn't ordinarily be allowed to advertise haemorrhoid cream, without specific rights/clauses in the release, i.e. the model would be made aware of the intended use prior to the shoot.
Getty, being a rather top notch stock supplier, would without question only use images from Flickr that it would be able to obtain releases from the photographer/model in question.
Personally, I think this Flickr/Getty partnership is fantastic news for budding togs out there capable of taking pukka pics!
Paris, cuz she likes a bit of exposure :D
"your credit card company passes all your data up to a credit card manufracturer (usually in the far North of Norway BTW)."
Aye... and I bet a pound to a pinch of that smelly brown stuff, they don't copy your details onto a CD then bung it in the post to instantly become "lost"...
I never really understood any need to be posting CD's, when secure FTP is cheap as chips, and potentially quicker, too.
I picked up a Wii for er-indoors for xmas last year, bundled with Wii sports and 4 Mario games - guess which game she's only ever played since?!? Mmm, bloody Wii Sports! While she loves the sports game, she has zero interest in getting any other games. That said, I've now purchased my 7th title for my PS3 - a figure soon to increase to 8 with GTA4 coming out v.soon :D
@Fraser
It's actually "Cue", as in a signal, such as a word or action, used to prompt another event in a performance, such as an actor's speech or entrance, a change in lighting, or a sound effect.. not a line of waiting people or vehicles, more commonly found in any British "fast food" outlet where the concept of FAST is above them....
