Obviously there must be a way to update these units, and it will probably really secure like MiFare/Oyster.

So I'll just fit a device to my non-limited motorbike that does an update to any unit I pass that will either set all roads to 100mph limits, or 0mph limits, depending on how I am feeling today :)

I got a Cowon S9 (ok so an MP3 player, not a phone) and one of the things that was being bitched about on the forums was the fact that it didnt use a mini-usb connector.

Reason being that the connector also does line-in for microphones and tv-out.

By going "non-standard" they are able to provide much more functionality from a single port.

For the record the cable is similar to an LG data/phone cable.

As phones get more functionality, they too may need more than 4 pin connectors, and I would rather have one cable for all that functionality than a micro-usb port for power and syncing and then ANOTHER port for extra functionality

BT said that while they recorded IP addresses, those can not be turned into a way of identifying an individual.

So, as an ISP, who has full access to the DHCP lease logs and Customer Billing information, and (hopefully) the means to tie these together, they are claiming its impossible to say that IP address 1.2.3.4 was definately Joe Bloggs (as it could have been his wife, Jane Bloggs, or his son, Jimmy Bloggs) are they not also saying its impossible to say who is using the connection to download MP3's/DivX's ?

Also does it not through all the Police IT enquiries into Grooming and Child Pornography Rings out of the window too?
