Is there some evidence of dogs sniffing out implants that wasn't shared in this story?

Suspended sentence for bank IT worker who broke into his boss's webcam because he didn't get a payrise
"City of London Police, the force that investigated Crispin's crimes, said in a statement that once Crispin left the bank he applied for another job at an investment management company and denied being under police investigation, thereby committing fraud."
Is it normal practice for the City of London Police to tell suspects that they are being investigated? Did that take place in this instance?

Comcast repeatedly crams modem upgrade demands into browsers
I ignored the snail mail, but succumbed to the browser injection. New modem was a combo modem/firewall/wifi/voip "gateway." It was immediately set to bridge mode, activated with a laptop directly attached, then connected to my existing firewall.
My firewall is now a bottleneck, but since this "upgrade" didn't include an associated bump to my monthly data allowance, I'm fine missing out on a few mbps.
I suspect their main drive for pushing these things is that when not set to bridge mode, they broadcast an XFINITY wifi ssid.

I was slightly annoyed by this as well. But whatever it's still a nice intro movie, and one that I can show friends without having to start a new game.
I was much more pleased that I didn't lose an hour of my life to a 2 gig update download and install, then another 100 meg download and install, then 30 minutes to actually install the game to the hdd.
Thank you Square Enix for designing a game that can actually run from the disc!
Netflix: How to completely screw up
I was not a Netflix customer until after the price change.
I get my DVDs by mail from Blockbuster and am not interested in leaving. Hopefully they will stay around. I am not interested in their streaming service. When Netflix changed the pricing, I took advantage of their one month free offer on the ps3. It's not perfect, I find it useful enough to continue.

Airport Metal Detectors
I can't count the number of times ive flown through Texas's airports. I currently have 8ga titanium rings and 14ga steel barbells in. I have never had a walkthrough or a wand metal detector be set off by them.
On my most recent trip through Texas, I had just had fresh piercings made the night before and got to explain to the TSA luggage inspector why I needed my 4oz bottle of saline spray for medical reasons. Once I said the word 'piercing' he let me through...
To say the least, there is NO WAY I would remove a body piercing for a security guard. I don't care how high and mighty they might feel they are.
