British car parks start reading number plates

Car parks of the future

I love parking in Welwyn Garden City Sainsbury's, that is the car park of the future (and free for 2 hours if you shop in the store too), signs saying how many spaces are available on each row (never mind the floor which you get in some car parks), and red/green light above the space showing you where the space actually is so no more driving around looking for that one spare space.

My wife forces me to go there just to experience the car park even if we don't need any shopping.

OMFG, what have you done?

Please, drop Helvetica!

It's a terrible web font, it looks bad and is unreadable with certain sizes/styles on firefox/IE/Opera on windows.

Please, use the same font selection and order as reghardware.

AJAX patent threat to giants under the hammer

Prior art ?

Liberate (as used on virgin media for it's middleware) had NetRequest objects which allow basically a simialr method of communicating with a server long before XMLHttpRequest came along, and probably before this patent was filed.
