'Extreme porn' law could criminalise millions

Censorship!

Tonto, where is your evidence that anyone on here is a paedophile?

You are innocent until proven guilty. And to be guilty, you must commit a crime - that is, you must harm someone.

You don't imprison people who have done nothing wrong. If someone views an image or video online - that they didn't pay to have made, and that they didn't place there - then regardless of its content, it should not be an offence.

People view executions online, beheadings, war atrocities, suicides caught on camera, etc.

According to your logic, these are all murderers salivating at the prospect of killing someone.

While the government tells us what is crime and what is not a crime, it can wage wars with impunity. Many children in Iraq - and those that fled Iraq - are now having to prostitute themselves to survive, while U.S. and U.K. corporations rake in billions.

This is about those in power having free rein to commit appalling crimes against humanity, to impoverish millions, to inflict serious psychological trauma on thousands upon thousands of children, while the masses are labelled deviant, and in need of control.

Psychological conditioning - with a vengeance!

This is about those in authority applying psychological methods to make us compliant at all times, privately and publicly.

No going over the speed limit - ever! We're watching!

No dropping litter - ever! We're watching!

No raising your voice in public - ever! We're watching!

No going anywhere without us...watching!

In public, we're watching you; now we must control your private life. If you look at anything we don't want you to look at, we're nicking you! With Phorm installed on all the major ISPs, it's easy to know what you're doing. You may have harmed no one, you may be harmless, but we need to psychologically control the population, so we're watching and we're arresting!

Eventually, we won't have to watch you all the time, because we will have conditioned you to obey at all times. Then we will finish the job, and condition you not to think.

You obey authority, and, in particular, you obey the government. You are OUR PROPERTY, so you obey - OR WE'RE NICKING YOU!

Home Office defends 'dangerously misleading' Phorm thumbs-up

CEO of Phorm calls Internet users nothing but a bunch of hobbyists!

The Home Office refuses to look after the interests of the public - ain't that a surprise!

Notice how, in front of the record and film industry, the government can't be submissive enough, threatening legislation if the supposed haemorrhage of profits due to unauthorised downloads isn't stopped.

Forget the people in government - they don't give a damn about us! They are nothing more than criminals in suits.

The only way to stop Phorm, BT, Virgin Media, and TalkTalk, is to switch ISPs, and inform as many people as you know about what is going on, and tell them to do the same.

You have to hit large corporations where it hurts, otherwise they won't give a damn - they'll just get more and more authoritarian, more and more arrogant. As it is, corporations are already starting to view us as their property - and chattels have no right to privacy!

If the British don't start pulling together, we might as well give up on the idea of any kind of freedom.

On the front page of PhormWatch, an article reports on what the CEO of Phorm thinks of us Internet users:

"The CEO of Phorm also let slip a shamelessly arrogant remark:

'The internet today is two to three professionals - Microsoft, Yahoo and Google - and 9,999,999 hobbyists.'"

ARE WE JUST GOING TO SIT HERE AND TAKE THIS ABUSE???

Not me! I've already switched ISPs.

FBI agents lured suspects using fake child porn hyperlinks

FBI wasting valuable resources

This is ridiculous! The real world equivalent of what the FBI is doing is dropping child porn images - albeit, highly censored ones - on the street, in shops and in the parks, and seeing who picks them up. Anyone who does is treated like a criminal.

A criminal has to commit a crime. There is nothing illegal about looking at objects and images that are around you, and that you didn't place there.

Thanks to the tabloid media, the distinction between a paedophile and a child molester/rapist has been lost. A paedophile is sexually attracted to prepubescent children, which is not in itself a crime. We may feel very uneasy around someone we know - or suspect - is sexually attracted to children (perhaps exclusively so, perhaps not), but unless they commit a crime, you cannot lock up an innocent person. Humans are complicated creatures, and viewing indecent or obscene images on the Internet does not, by itself, tell us too much about a person.

Are those that view execution videos potential murderers? Should we arrest them, too?

Until someone commits - or is involved in the commision - of a crime, I cannot, in good conscience, treat that person like a criminal, and ruin their life.

The FBI is behaving like thought police. If your thoughts lead you astray - by, for example, making you click on a hypertext link that we placed on a Web page - we will decide what you are, and your intentions.

The buying, selling, and making of child pornography - as well as child prostitution - is what the FBI should be focusing on. Most children would not be sexually abused if there wasn't money exchanging hands. Often, organized crime is involved, and most of this crime is committed in poor countries, not rich ones. The people that facilitate this sexual abuse are not - in the vast majority of cases - sexually attracted to children, they are merely exploiting children for profit.

So, we could say the biggest child sexual abusers are straight men and women.

And us rich nations, by not helping poor nations develop - by, for instance, allowing our corporations to plunder "third world" countries and pay absurdly low prices for commodities - we are ourselves facilitating child pornography - the most vulnerable children in the world are those that live in poverty!

The FBI is clearly not serious about helping children, and neither is that judge.
