RE: wibbilus

"Just a side note, i wonder how many people that are defending this constant increase of pointless phone features are the same people that are slating Vista for exactly the same thing"

I'll first state that I'm not looking for an argument here, as some of the people on this thread seem to be super-charged with negative 'omg you moron' stances. I'm just puzzled as to what you mean by that comment? As far as I can tell you're simply saying:

"Do people who want a camera on their phone with mobile web access so they can (for example) upload pictures to Facebook, dislike Vista because it adds features which they don't want, whereas the features on their phone they do want?"

And that is: a) obvious, b) pointless.. Of course some people will like the excessive features included on their phone, and those same people just *might* not like some of the features included in Vista. I myself am exceedingly happy with my N95 - which is packed full of features. I myself, am also not a supporter of Vista as I think it's too bloated, isn't stable, and goes so far to being 'easy for a new user to use' that it makes it hard for an expert user to use.

Tell me if I'm wrong..

P.S. Anybody who wants to pick arguments with grammar etc, don't bother - I don't care if I haven't put a comma in the right place. :)

Sigh

This guy is quite amusing, I think he should be put in a cage and then whenever we poke him with a stick he should spout stupid stories about physics (like he appears to be doing already).

I bet it wouldn't be long before he was claiming to be The Doctor.

We don't need no education.... Oh no wait, we do!

In response to John's comment:

"Doesn't appear to have done you any good either. Just how civilised did you end up, when you suggest solutions including military training and sterilisation of the unworthy?"

I'd much rather the above, than having copious numbers of chavs abusing me in the street or damaging my property - in the name of 'fun' too. I'm 18 years old, but I agree with the majority of these comments. My mum perhaps smacked me two or three times throughout my child hood, I guess she was good at using other methods because I turned out fine (I like to think). I care about my education and have no interest in becoming a stupid little crettin that talks like a cross between Ali G and Barry Manilow.

I agree that teachers can do nothing these days. I have sat in various lessons in the past (from year 7-11) and in all of them there has been a few quiet kids getting on with the work, and the rest were just unruly. All the teacher could do was ignore them, or ask to 'see their homework diary' to write in a note that their parents would never see. I'm also appalled these days at the standard of english adopted by these youths. Many of them can't spell for sh*t, and nor do they understand any words that are longer than 4-6 letters.

Quite frankly it's embarassing to be young today - especially with the use of these 'mixed group' classes. Eurgh. </rant>

Microsoft rolls out Vista SP1

Windows Update/Manual Download

As far as I know, for some reason the version of Vista's SP1 you get via Windows Update is only 65MB, as opposed to that big 435MB version available for download. Also, the Windows Update version can sort of 'suss out' any driver problems and so on, so all in all I think it's best to wait for it to be pumped out to your machine automatically..

Don't know why I'm even bothered, I installed Vista on my main PC and was determined to give it a fair go, but by the end of the 30 days I was sleeping with and caressing my XP disc like a little puppy. For the forseeable future, Vista is going to be the Windows ME for me.. i.e. I completely skip it after a brief test of it.
