SWIFT is dying
SWIFT service is woeful - slow, expensive and risky.
Thankfully it is losing market share to disruptors like Ripple. Soon we'll be able to send money in any denomination with no counterparty risk and almost no fee.

bought one of these Jan 2002. it still works though I've had to resolder the firewire port connectors several times. other than that they were built like battleships.
didn't have a Mac at the time so had to haul it across London to a mate's house if I wanted to add any tunes. used to live in fear of being mugged.
spot on.
I worked for a small company like you describe. in fact the directors are former NHS staff but even that isn't enough.
BT came to sniff out their software a couple of years ago but never took the bait. shame as it could run every clinical department in the land, no problem. Instead we rope in multinational companies to write what has already been written at huge cost. WHY?
oh and btw the £12bn is the total cost not the spend so far. Richard Granger did get something right.
Paris - she has great software too
Gareth Jones is right there are big wins here. Anyone needing an Xray, CT or MRI in England since last year has seen the benefit from this even if they didn't realise it at the time.
I just don't understand why NPFIT decided to buy into Lorenzo before it even existed. There were plenty of clinical systems out there already capable of doing the job.
jesus give Ken a chance - his stated plan for using the money raised by this scheme is to promote cycling and other public transport.
we need more police? yes, but I hope you weren't one of those who squealed when a charge for exactly that was itemised on your your council tax bill?
you don't see Ken targeting overground trains? umm try getting out more. he has just taken the overground services under his control after two years of haggling. the number of trains running per hour is set to double, and every station is now manned. this, ladies and gentlemen, is where the congestion charge money is going, and I will welcome any ex-Porche driver to share my seat.
