.com & .co.uk hosted in US?

Ok so someone answer me this.

I have a .com hosted in the US, do I need to change?

I have a .co.uk hosted in the US, do I need to change?

what about .net?

Is it based on who the domain is registered to?

I haven't been able to find a straight answer, I know it's government and laws so there probably isn't one but does anyone know?

Virgin Media 'overwhelmed' by broadband customers fleeing BT

I've had no problems

Being an fan of cable I have come through the Blueyonder & NTL days and have been with Virgin for about 4 years now.

I don't see how people have had soooo many problems over the years and have always read these reg articles with a pinch of salt. I do admit that El Reg gets so many comments of the bad kind when it comes to broadband etc due to the fact that so many of us technically minded folks use this site. I would like to see a half decent survey of all broadband customers to see what they think.

Sun or Son

Sun = the star that is the central body of the solar system, around which the planets revolve and from which they receive light and heat: its mean distance from the earth is about 93 million miles (150 million km), its diameter about 864,000 miles (1.4 million km), and its mass about 330,000 times that of the earth; its period of surface rotation is about 26 days at its equator but longer at higher latitudes.

Son = a male child or person in relation to his parents.

NAS and this tech

I would love to see this in a smart NAS style design.

NAS is all well and good but again these are left on just waiting for someone to access. if we could has a WOL NAS box which switches off again once no network traffic is detected i would by it and it would of course save on the old leccy bills,

"It's not illegal to be tech unsavvy"

it should be.....

There have been report on El Reg before about "Computer Licencing".

It's a good idea. There are so many things so called "bad" people can do due to the "tech unsavvy". Well now I've stoked the fire have fun :)

I've been with pipeten.com for over 2 years now and they are great. I don't think my site has gone down.

They give me a good package for not much over £5 a month, mind you it's only for a bit of play/practice as I'm a developer by trade.
