There is literally only one use case for nosql and that's on that rare project where you will never need to relate two bits of data together.
And I can pretty much guarantee that that will be a requirement at some time in a project's lifecycle which is why you should always use a RDMS.

Golang is primarily a devops language. It's great for writing REST APIs, container systems and data crunching but library wise it's not a great fit for graphical applications and the like. It also still has yet to really get up to speed with package management and library versioning.
I love Golang, it's my primary language but it really fucking needs a package manager along the lines of CPAN/npm/cargo etc...
"Stability"
I've been running Arch across multiple systems for years and the only time a system borked was when I fucked things up by tweaking too much. Arch installs with sane default configurations and unless you really get in there and fuck about with it it's very unlikely to ever fuck up.
Arch has been the single most stable distribution I've ever used and I've been running Linux systems since the '90s.

All reports seem to indicate that the device in question is locked with a 4-digit pin code. Let's say you can identify which 4 digits that is, 4! == 24, so even with 4 digits there are 24 possible combinations and you only get 10 tries before the device either locks or wipes itself on the 10th failed attempt.

I'd have never known were it not for this article. My server logs are mostly full of requests from scriptkiddy morons trying to access phpmyadmin or some other stupid shitware that only idiots use.
Sorry but lollipop simply isn't a consistent experience across devices.
Runs like a dream on my N4, runs like a 3 legged dog with congenital syphillis on my N7(2012), graphically great on my N10 but the wireless on that device no longer does more than 60kb/s making it useless since it's primary function used to be for streaming media.
Just because there are negative reports about an android update doesn't mean apple fanboys are trolling. There are some very real problems with this release that google needs to address.

Personally I've had enough of *buntu, even Xubuntu 13.04 has been bloated with zeitgeist and loads of gnome and unity dependencies that have no logical reason to be there. I've jumped ship to Arch and couldn't be happier. It's fast, stable, does what I want, how I want and doesn't fuck about.
I honestly can't see how twitter could ever replace RSS for feed aggregation. The twitter stream always inevitably ends up getting horribly polluted with shit and the 140 character limit is just too limited for a news feed model. Does anyone know of any other good web based RSS aggregators that work across multiple platforms and devices? (Windows, linux and android preferably).
All this is done, Unity will still be a horrible piece of shit to use on the desktop. Change for the sake of change is just fucking stupid especially when your projects goal is to create a Linux distribution that is easy for people to come to and pick up. Creating a 3rd desktop paradigm (that's a hideous piece of shit and a resource hog to boot) does not do anything for these goals.
It's as if OSX and Windows 7 had a filthy, shameful liason and Unity was the deformed bastard offspring of that unholy union. And that's why Ubuntu is hemorrhaging users who are all going to Xubuntu and Mint. Because those desktops are actually fucking usable.
Might have to actually start innovating and stop playing catch-up to Androids features if they want to do that. The Apple ecosystem has been stagnating for the last couple of years with each product really just being a rather unimpressive minor improvement on the last and with nothing new that hasn't already been done by the competition.

The answer to "It's the software" is very, very simple. Get a nexus device. They're cheaper than most of the competition (even the other android devices), they get all the software updates for Android and they outperform all of apples current offerings.
The apps are there for getting damn near anything and everything done on them. I code, manage servers on the go and even DJ at nightclubs on my Nexus 7. I've used it to write reports, RPG campaigns (google docs+drive integration is awesome for that), I can write quick apps in html5 straight to dropbox or googledrive and quickly deploy them to webservers using sftp in the ES filemanager. All of this on a non-rooted device and by the way, speech recognition software is much, much better on Android and as for Siri? Check out Google Now sometime. And then weep at the ineptitude of Siri.
Just sayin'.
Not sure what your hardware setup is like but win8 + latest stable nvidia drivers works like a dream for me. Performance is just fine and if anything better than it was on win7. I'm just using a laptop with an nVidia 525GTX and I've been playing borderlands 2 with no problems at all.

Let me know when Valve have finished porting Steam to linux and the games selection available is as good as that of Windows and then we'll talk. I'm happy to do all the important stuff on Linux, i.e work, coding, servers etc but until the games companies start supporting linux as a priority I'm stuck with windows and win8 is, under the hood, a good improvement on win7 in terms of memory footprint, speed and security. That's why I will be upgrading my windows partitions. It's a little frustrating to see all this crybaby whinging about win8's UI considering that you can just install a 3rd party start button and never see metro again, to me it smacks of bitching and whining purely for the sake of bitching and whining because everyone loves to complain about microsoft.
