Microsoft pulls Windows 7 balloons from Euro 'launch parties'

Elmer Phud
IT Angle

Not so sure about W7 now

If it takes half a dozen people, and by the looks on their faces, several attempts and a long night to install W7 I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

It wouldn't surprise me if it does take a hell of a lot less time and effort but it's the men that have hogged the keyboard and the women have the 'I told you four hours ago, but you had to try and do it the clever way' look on thier faces.

It's a look of relief on the men's faces and 'It's about fucking time, you twat' on the women's faces.

At least in the Euro version they are allowed to drink.

Met: We shan't scrap Form 696

Elmer Phud
FAIL

Not NuLab

Grease Monkey -"The Met have caught a disease from Nulabour"

Nah, it's not much more than a paper version of the Suss laws. "Are you promoting an event where young black males will congregate.or music associated with young black males will be heard or performed? As we all know, all young black males are murderous gun carriers or crack dealers and the public's safety is paramount."

The form?

"Full honest disclosure forms part of the risk assessment and will not in itself jeopardise the event." And not filling in the 'voluntary information' ? Even if you are middle-class white with a disco at a church hall they have been known to veto the gig.

First they start having arbitrary 'noise levels' set by local authoritiies where some twat in Hi-Viz turns up and decides they don't like the music so insists it's turned down or else. Now they bring in the cops as extra muscle.

This is more Daliy Mail Twat-O-Tron(tm) territory "Are you affected by young people and thier music? Does the constant jungle beat upset you?" etc.

NZ woman sacked for SHOUTY EMAILS

SHOUTY?

Past experience shows that many managers are prone to sending SHOUTY EMAILS as they deem the messages that IMPORTANT.

Generally they are usually mundane and tedious and have no real importance other than in the mind of the sender.

Sing something simple

DavCrav

"And I'm educated by it, as opposed to the barely cognisant idiots who listen to songs like 'Smack my bitch up'"

Right, where do we start with shite lyrics? Beatles?

'Nothing to get hung about.'

Anyway, always thought that it was the music and production that made 'Smack My Bitch Up' such a cracking chooon. When you see teenagers these days still jumping around and singing along to 'S.M.B.U.' , years after it was released, you know it's a classic.

(most old classical was pure Stock Aitken and Waterman stuff, produced for a specific market, reins held by someone else and controlled by other people)

"They seem to have removed East Anglia from the UK. Perhaps it's been secretly colonised by Belgium?"

Not exactly, the map is a prediction so most of East Anglia will be submerged by then.

The number who leave the U.K. entirely are going off abroad as there are 'too many forriners' moving in and never, ever recognise the irony (old colonials that they are).

Man gets 3 years in prison for stealing IDs over LimeWire

Wide Open

"Wood would search the hard drives of LimeWire users for files that contained words such as "statement," "account" and "tax.pdf." "

If Limewire (and other sharing S/W) users open up thier entire machine for the world to see it's no surprise that others will root around looking for interesting things. It's like offering up your CD's on a shelf at home for friends to borrow and then leaving your front door open for others to root through the rest of your house.

At least put the CD's in a box just inside the porch door and leave the front door locked. ( but stop labelling 'Our holidays in France' as 'One night in Paris')
