I use my XBox360 as a DVD player and have never experienced any issues with DVD playback, infact DVD playback is better than my old Philips DVD Player.

I have a Pal Xbox360 and play movies i've bought over seas, ripped, taken region coding off, burnt back to a DVD5 and watched.

I've never had "deinterlacing problems, noise, lip sync issues, vsync tears" issues.

Stop spreading bullshit around. As much as Microsoft sucks, the Xbox360 kicks ass. It gets far more use as a DVD player and Games machine than my PS3 which pretty much collects dust.

Seriously, i've been a web developer for about 7 years, and Firefox is a pile of shit.

Any developer who thinks Firefox makes their life easier, is not a good developer. It's easier to code for Opera and fix a couple of minor things in IE and Firefox, than it is to code for Firefox's own crappy standards and then spend hours fixing for every other browser.

Everyone in the Firefox community is a douchbag.

9 times out of 10 the plugin your using is a weak version of whats been in opera for a year.

But what ever, most of the people who write comments in the register are morons too.

Sigh, Xbox360 games pretty much always look better than PS3 games.

Even tho PS3 games are usually uncompressed or generally take up more space.

Blu-Ray doesn't offer much in the way of gaming at the moment.

I think you will find that the majority is the people who actually like it but are not on some forum or news blog trying to convince you its good.

Your a minority, plain and simple.

As much as i like linux, hate OSX, and like xp and vista.

Linux is not desktop ready for adverage joe. OSX is just a pile of shit for a minority who think they are better than the guy sitting next to them who also has a mactop. And Windows is just for people who don't wanna learn how to run command line bullshit to install a piece of software, or compile it for their hardware, when they could just as easily click a file and have it install.

Every time i come to The Register for news, i cringe when theres news about Vista, because i know the comments will be littered with post's by complete morons whinging about issues that aren't even relievent to Vista.

I think you will find pretty much every commonly used application on windows works in Vista. Infact upgrading to Vista was easier than any update of OSX i've done.

Theres nothing worse than getting the newest version of Final Cut / DVD Studio Pro only to find out i can't install it untill u purchase the OSX upgrade.

I use Vista, Ubuntu, and OSX. But Vista is my favourite. Maybe im lucky, cos i haven't had any issues at all with it.
