the new imac is too pricey! that's it...and shut up about the exchange rate, that's got NOTHING to do with the uk price! idiots! apple are a global company, making profits around the globe not just in one country.
simple really, the imac is too pricey, and will 'put-off' potential switchers, which is a massive error by apple. that's why, after 16 years of using macs, i will be buying a dell running xp later this year. i use one at work and it's fine.
apple have back to the old days of style over substance, a real shame.
the price hikes on lots of products (apple) have nothing to do with the exchange rate. these are global companies, making profits globally. this exchange rate nonsense is a way to increase profits through sustained demand ie. mr joe public will still keep buying them and any slight decrease in sales can be balanced by bigger profits.
move on people.
how come on every post, Anonymous Coward post several comments of different opinions? are you a skitzo or what? and how come you're a Anonymous Coward for different reasons on different days, like you work for companies who deal in different areas?
try and be brave.
oh, and this patent application is one of many that apple and the rest file every week - it usually means nothing, just some experimentation.
"Am I the only one who actually found what those two did funny?"
nope, i thought it was hilarious and exactly what brand does everyweek, yes, he's a naughty boy, but that is what he does. everyone should go and find it and have a listen, pure comedy, as long as you understand what brand's humour is.
good to see andrew sachs furthering his career by appearing as manuel at the Prince Charles gig the other week, the silly, sad old turkey.
rossy was on lily allen's show and it was embarrassing to hear how much swearing they could both get out. yeah, it would be bad enough to be on her show, but it was like a sponsored swearing competition, as if they were trying to be 'street'.
and i'm no fucking prude, but the gwyneth paltrow comment was a bit much (although very true)
yes, you're right. i take it all back. the US is the best place to be, you are such a peaceful lot and never send under educated, working class kids into pointless wars while the children of your rich and politicians get educated in privately funded establishments.
i wish i lived there, thanks for correcting me.
i'm glad that you have an excellent health service where the poor get treatment at the same speed and quality as your top business executives.
i'm so sorry for upsetting your exceptional country, please don't invade the uk and punish us for our ignorant, behaviour and for all talking in dick van dyke-esque accents.
and lastly, oh great one, thank you, thank you for your endless succession of well mannered, highly educated heads of state.
good point about the title of the article. those pesky charitable pirates.
also good to see people agreeing with my thoughts about being charitable, why the fuck should they? the government of the richest country in the world should look after it's people, along with the richest state in the US! it's not the job of 'techie' companies.
yes, they could support local computer museums and such, but i'm sure they do without making a big deal about it.
this article seems to be on apple's back because their leader hasn't done a bill gates and 'left' the company to feed the starving. no they haven't, and i didn't give anything to children in need because i chose to support other causes without making a song and dance about it.
well i'm an apple fan and i love my 360, great value folks, just remember what we had 10 years ago. it plays all sorts of files off a flash drive and is good fun.
it's just a pity about the noise and heat from it. oh, and it never starts up first time, i always have to turn off and try again.
but still, great value and fun, don't take it too seriously, they'll fix it for you.
why would you want to slide your laptop into your monitor? eh? so you'd have to buy another keyboard and mouse? and it would be a heavy monitor then? eh?
unless they bring out a sub notebook that blasts the millions of others, then its going to be nothing more than some laptop updates...move on people...
your missing my point which is that the visitor experience is poor. i love science/technology and history, but the UK visitor experience to places like jodrell is stuck in the past, the yanks do it so much better. st pauls is beautiful as it is, and have you visited stonehenge? one of the most disappointing visitor experiences in the UK.
and Duncan Hothersall. the visitor experience is the most important thing if you are a paying visitor, yes. it has to be done in an exciting, inspirational manner which i didn't find at jodrell bank. i love space and science but was left deflated by the experience. hope you understand, pillock.
