Tesla still burning cash: each car loses $4,000

David Ndhlovu

Quite simple where they are going wrong circa demand

I love the concept, impressed by the technology, astonished by the performance. Yet it looks like a slightly smarter Ford Focus.

They need to do some BMW i8 packaging. Literally make them look "electric".

Marketing means understanding what people want.

If i wanted a high performance machine, I'd slap myself thrice daily for buying a Ford Focus lookalike.

No 3g :(

I almost whipped out the cash monies card as I am in need of a new laptop or tablet solution and this would have been perfect.

... except for the lack of 3g capability.

In today's market I would expect all tabs to come with a 3g option/version...

Actually... I would expect new flag ship technology to be built-in... A 3g version with LTE capability would scream "Buy me now, and I am all you that will need for the next 3 or 4 years".

And that's the point... as great as this tablet is, the lack of 3g and LTE makes me think "hang on to see what happens with the other tegra 3 tablets that are just around the corner, I am going to be spending around £500 after all".

ASUS could even release a new version with said bells and whistles, but rumour mill shows that they are in full denial.

Which means that it's most probably on its way.

read first, ask second

Like seriously, you should go to the Paris articles, re-read everyone from scratch, don't just skim read.

Its embarrasing to read your comments. Each objection you have brought up has been explained in previous articles.

Your latest statement about 'shoot the glue guy' is just fail. They clearly stated that they are doing a messy hot glue job in the mock-up of the wing section. They also stated this because they knew fully qualified members of the fail brigade would post stupid comments over the finishing quality on a test mock up.

Oh yeah, to answer your question, they won't be using hot glue on the wings. It will be neatly secured with epoxy.

Following that link at the end (pictures of the two ladies), I feel that the only sensible solution to this arguement is to let them sort it out in the mud ring.

Much rather have...

The x61s.

We have both here at work. The T61 is just too big to even be considered a useful portable. It's a nice spec and a powerful tool.

It's what you would give to a developer or serious number cruncher who might need to take their work home for a weekend once every month or two.

All our users go for the x61's. If you need a larger screen in the office, then use it on standard LCD's. The ratio is about 9 x61s's for one T61.
