Explain to me how he could get 25 years when the max he can get is six months in jail and $1000 fine. Who is to say the prosecutor will follow through.

I don't know how it is in the UK but here in the US one of the problems you have with trying to get redundancy from different providers is pipe sharing . So the Cable companies will trench with the phone company. Snap that pipe and the cable and phone company lose signal. Same thing with other data providers . You can have sprint exchange on one side of town and ATT on the other side. If you get ATT and Sprint running to your building at some point they will share the same pipe. I saw this with MCI and ATT. MCI had exchange, and this exchange was used as a peering site for ATT. Three miles down the road they were sharing the same pipe. At the last mile it looks liked it was coming from different areas .
Lets do what the US did about the original leaker of the diplomatic cables; find the perpetrator and charge them with whatever crime it is to disclose this info. (Oh, wait, it isn't any kind of crime. Job done).\
So the fact that the guy who leaked them is in jail means nothing. Read up on American law. Disclosing top secret documents is a crime. But I suppose you are going to tell me leaking classified documents is not illegal in your country so no crime was committed even though it was an American citizen that violated American law .
I have a driod and i Google maps shows up in the downloaded section for me. Now this is whats weird. I've found that auto updates takes as much as week to happen. What I mean is that if a new version of an app comes out to day it can be as much as a week for the program to auto update.

I was thinking let a TSA person look at your laptop. My favorite is an idiot that set his laptop on a hot burner.
I had a coworker tell me about an user that put his laptop in the oven, forgot about it and turned the oven. I called bullshit on that one. Then one day I saw on the news how an idiot burned his house down by forgetting that he put fire works in the oven to hid the from the kids .
