Verizon's bogus bills tanked my credit score, claims sueball slinger
Re: Wow, deja vu
actually verizon can't do any thing as they sold it a collection agencies. in the US debt collectors buy the debt for pennies on the dollar and due any thing to collect. they do not verify the info or even if they have a the right to collect. They will do things like curse you out, degrade you and threaten you with jail time if you do not pay. They will do things like call you 50 times an hour. now we do have some federal protections. harassing or threatening actually disqualifies them from collecting the debt and you can sue them for up to $500. Now the problem ist he shit bags might not be in your home state or even in the country so enforcement can be hard.

Prisoners built two PCs from parts, hid them in ceiling, connected to the state's network and did cybershenanigans
Re: Ceiling tiles ..?
Well when you are not build stuff to code why not. The titles are hiding a junction box witch is a no no. I'm willing to bet that electrical junction box is over crowed too. I know in my home state of California if you run cat cable that is hidden by those types of ceiling titles you need cable trays. Some counties require the cat cable to fire rated if going through ceiling titles like that.
Also looking at that picture it looks like it had a more permanent type of fixed ceiling that was hiding the electrical junction box which is an automatic fail of the of both Canadian and US national electrical code.

Re: lawyer: I just made a bazillion bucks
"Here's a tip, just use the cable modem that your ISP gave you."
That's a lovely sentiment but when I had medicom cable service I had no access to the cable modem unless I paid $5 a month and then they wanted another $5 to turn on wi fi. A fee to change the wi fi password if I forgot it. A fee to change the name of the wi fi network if wanted to change the network name. If I used their cable modem I would of been using a device on my network that I had no control of. So I bought my own cable modem .Thank god Google decided to offer fiber in my town and then over night ATT rolled out fiber to the prem. I went from 100mb/s to 1000 for the same price and a network device I have control over now.
