What is every tea leaf on the road today a CSI agent, yeah because everyone has latex and and high res scanner going around in the hope they can mug an iPhone user for their phone.
People need to get a grip , you snatch the phone, high chance you will smear any useful finger prints on it, so unlee you grab it without smearing, you've wasted your time.
Samsung up to its usual tricks, wait for another company to do the hard graft to make something useable and then copy it. Hmmm wonder where I have seen that before :S
If Dyson is so rubbish why do they sell so much ? I find it hard to believe that so many posters on this thread have touched a vacuum cleaner in the last 6 months.
But surely they can software define the range that the radio needs to look for to pick up the signal , based upon is geographical location?
I assumed that the frequencies are like using different parts of the FM spectrum, so surely your should be able to software tune the phone to the correct frequency, rather than making hardware that can only look at a particular frequency or am I missing something ?
Apple don't care about market share, the only share they care about is the profit share, and they take like majority of it! Samsung et all can keep on scrabberling around for the chicken feed, but they make money on the handsets, Apple makes money on the hardware and the software. All the android manufacturers are doing is pushing whatever remaining profit there is to Google!
Apple do invent
they invented an MP3 players that was not a piece of rubbish.
they invented a consumer OS that was not a piece of crap to look at and use
they invented a business computer that did not look like it has been cut from a chunk of blamange
they invented a tablet that just worked and did not break your arm lifting it
They invented a smartphone , that was easy to use, sexy as hell
etc etc etc
Say what you like about them, but if they were rubbish they would not sell the amounts they do. You say its marketing all marketing. Marketing gets you in the door, marketing does not get you repeat custom, being the best at what you do does!
Androids share is all the manufactures of Androids , compared against Apple. To make this relevant
split the data into manufacturer, to see who is shipping what amount,
breakdown if possible into , who actually SOLD a handset rather than just produced one
breakdown, into what actual profit that manufacturer makes on their handsets
You can have 80% of a market , but if that only makes you 10p , while the other guy with 20% is earning £400 on every handset sold, then market share may not mean profit!
But if your percentage of a pie goes down , because that pie got bigger, its hardly time to close down the business.
What would be useful is too know who makes the most money from tablet sales, not who makes 5p. Apple makes its money on the software as well as the hardware, nothing they sell is at a loss or a pittance. Jesus I can't believe someone has paid this analyst , and I use that term loosely for rubbish like this.
Is all these people complaining about apps walled garden etc etc, anyone buying an Apple product is hipster/stupid whatever or its too expensive.. WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH WHAT APPLE DOES??
You are not going to buy their product, want to buy their product, you don't even like their product, its inferior and expensive...so why do you care what they do?!?
The amount of people on here , who states that they don't even have or have ever had Apples products pontificating on the company, Jesus its like the electronic version of stalking!
Duded she doesn't fancy you and you don't have enough money to impress her, move on!
Jesus wept , without unanimous agreement it goes to the whitehouse. Apple offered to pay money for its license, Samsung said we wanted access to some of Apples patents. Apple told them to go do one, you only get money. Samsung in the end lost the case, moral of the sotry .... take the money and run next time!
Maybe you want to read up little on the ruling that forced the veto , before opening your mouth

"The patent in question was part -- and only a tiny part -- of an international standard, and as such
Samsung had agreed to make it available for licensing under terms that are fair, reasonable and nondiscriminatory (FRAND).
Samsung had made no effort to demonstrate that the licensing terms it offered Apple "satisfied an objective standard of reasonableness."
That the only time Samsung made such an offer -- in oral discussions in December 2012 -- it came with strings attached to which Apple could not agree.
What those strings were are blacked out in the document, but Pinkert adds in the next sentence: "it is neither fair nor non-discriminatory for the holder of the FRAND-encumbered patent to require licenses to non-FRAND-encumberd patents as a condition for licensing its patent" (emphasis his)."

Reading between the lines, it sounds like Samsung had refused to license its standard-essential patents (SEPs) unless Apple offered its non-essential iPhone patents -- the company's crown jewels -- in return.
As usual, FOSS Patent's Florian Mueller was on top of the case. In early July he obtained a copy of Pinkert's dissent, painstakingly transcribed it into HTML, and published it in a post that began:
"I'm outraged. The underlying rationale of the ITC ruling is a serious threat to innovation and competition. Among other things, it represents a radical departure from well-established antitrust principles concerning the illegal practice of tying (in this case, a Samsung proposal that required Apple to license its non-standard-essential patents to Samsung in order to get an SEP license). This totally runs counter to the ITC's mission to protect the domestic industry."
But hey lets not let that get in the way of Yank / Apple bashing

What you mean a country favoring its own companies, next you will be telling us bears crap in the woods!
All that is needed to end this is for Samsung to tell everyone , what they normally charge other people for these FRAND patents. If its the same for other companies, then Apple won't have a leg to stand on. However if they rachet it up just becuase if Apple , they can go do one!
Oh do grow up you idiot.. he's not evil he's trying to reform the benfits system that has been seen by a generation as a career choice. Maybe if you had a proper job and watched your moeny going to pay for the jeremy kyle generation , should be able to see why he's doing what he's doing!
Oh please its standard operating pracice in the civil service, at least with this they are prototyping it to make sure the thing works before just pouring 8 Billion down the drain like labour did with the NHS Connecting for health bollocks.
I'd like them to spot the problems now rather than later on, and quite frankly condesing all those benefits into one payment means that we might actually cut down the legions working in the civil service. Why a system cannot handle a numeric valur being increased without a major redesign, tells me that somewhere someone is extracting the urine!
Thats a value in a dtabase table or should be, so why should canculations be so affected ?
Time to amend the Taxpayer confidentiality. It cannot give a running commentary to this House on the action that it takes,"
Absolute gibberish! there is no law barring them from disclosing such information to parliment, they have made it a HMRC policy. Ask him a question and if he refuses , JSA for him.
The ipHone did not even have the faster core or the most cores when it was released , so what are you wittering on about ?
Personally I think your using your phones specs to make up for a shortage in other departments ;)
Paris becuase she knows what I'm talking about!
Starbucks is very profitable in the UK and said so in their US annual statement. If they are making no money, then I suggest for the good of the company that we close down those shops and sell themoff to rivals, so that we don't take starbucks down and allow that great company to continue in more profitable countries.
Is that all the responses are from android users, and I'm a s3 Mini user and before that was an HTC HD2. Seriously this article is click bait, trolling at its best. iOS is just acopy of all the other operating systems. Having opacity in windows is a copy, thats been used how many years on desktops?
As a poster pointedout, Hypercard was using the stack system decades, literally decades ago lol. Ah well I suppose it earns al reg, clicks which earns it money lol.
By the way I would sell body parts for the new Mac Pro!
The thunderbolts ports mean that you can connect the pro to external NAS enclosures as you say anyone spending that amount of money on the pro machine is not going to skimp on storage. Plus a PCIe enclousure will allow you to use all the old cards that you may require. and I'm willing to bet big money that if enough pros are sold that the manufactures will build cards to fit the new format.Remember this cards sell for big bucks, not some £30 barely faster than integrated rubbish.
quite frankly the new design made me moist downstairs !
Paris becuase she also likes a bit thick black tube
Thick cut crusty farmhouse bread.
Mild cheddar cheese.
grate cheese and spread on bread
put under grill and toast until the cheese turns bubbly brown
Eat while cheese is gooey, but not so hot it removes the skin from the roof of your mouth.
Wash down with some nice cold cider, on a warm sunny day.
