This is a nasty one; you can see if there is some clear reason like this blatant rip-off that they need to be globally blocked (anyone from any country can access any specific google site).
However, imagine if (for example) China decided that Google have to block all the things they are blocking internally all around the world... I really don't want lowest common denominator deciding what I can and can't see.
I haven't complained... just swapped to someone else (who are just as bad, now been though all providers and they all suck as bad as each other)

Considering how most of our governments want Orwellian controls, this is a GOOD thing, in my opinion :-) Not that I don't trust our government or anything.
There are plenty of nature and science documentaries, brilliant and (mostly) impartial news - I know I wouldn't be able to get any of that if it were not for the BBC, who trusts "news" from multi-millionaire tax dodgers who just want more power for them and theirs?
I am happy to pay for that content and subsidise other minority content (even the stuff I hate) 'cos the people who like that are also helping to pay for the programmers I like.
It is NOT illegal to not pay for the license, only to watch content from BBC if you haven't payed. So if you don't want to pay the license fee, then DON'T PAY IT and stop watching what you haven't paid for. Oh and stop trying to kill our BBC cos you don't like it.
There is so much confusion here, and I think Intel are specifically trying to do this! "Thunderbolt USB" my arse. USB is a standard - they should not be allowed to misappropriate it in that way (even if Thunderbolt can carry USB signals over it).
I for one haven't used Intel chippery in years, so no way I could have Thunderbolt, but I have plenty of USB ports that are all fine.
Also - the letters in USB are for the end connecters and the nubers are for the generation - so we are acutally talking about USB 3 compatibility (i.e. the newest and fastest) with USB C cables (i.e. the new multi-directional connectors).

Not many people seem to remember the Motorola A920 - I had one and then the A1000, such good phones for their time. Full smartphone with downloadable apps and music and everything. Not bad for a phone that was 5 years before the original iPhone, which remember, did NOT have apps.
As far as I recall the only problem with it was that it was before capacitive screens were usable....

How about targeted info on kiddies near peados that can use the info as a way to start grooming? I know, I know THINK OF THE CHILDREN and all that, but I do think this is a real concern in this case (rather than the usual trying to reduce our rights kind of thing!)
Also for the DS own voters, not sure what they have to day against it as the haven't commented (maybe they are the ones scimping on their customers security??) http://www.dft.gov.uk/vca/data-protection-act-guidance-on-compliance.asp clearly states "kept secure against unlawful or unauthorised processing, or accidental loss or erasure"
Clearly VTech have not complied as these products have proved to be totally unsecured in all ways!

They are the ones who have taken all the profit and not secured their products - they are the ones who have to take responsability..
We've used seconds for over a thousand years, now we know they are not quite right. So what does half the world do? Bury their head in the sand and say "change is scary and expensive".
We will care about this as a space-fairing species. Just a few seconds off on navigation to another planet could leave you stranded!

Gotta say I haven't though because "They are perfectly within their rights to sell what they want to sell I suppose." is totally incorrect as given how big Amazon are in most markets, this is the move of a monopoly.
Either way, I only had prime for the delivery and now they increased the price of that so they could add streaming "free" without supporting any of the devices I use - I have cancelled my prime.
This totally depends on what app you are using...
You can either mirror or cast (often app will just use the term cast though) - mirror is the same as android screen mirroring or chrome tab casting, cast is what youtube, netflix etc do.
Casting you can turn off the device, connect other devices as secondary remote controls and all that - mirroring requires your device on and connected at all times!

Also, not forgetting that the 2 main applications always stated for this (Adobe Photoshop and MS Office) are both moving to on-line SaS, with more and more functionality going onto the browser and cross-platform clients!
