Another great BOFH.. and so true.
Most readers here probably have the gene. I found out when I was 16 and supported and office of 50 recruitment consultants on my own. Just me being there stopped problems happening.. That and moving the mouse on the NT server to stop the 3d Pipes screensaver zapping all the server's CPU.. ;-)
Mines the one with the 3d screensaver.
Come on... Just because someone has a little fame on their side that means that we should all jump up and down and follow? Why should his backing of a subject such as this matter at all.
Im all for people doing good. So do good, and then give someone else a turn.
Take these huge concert events. There are thousands of people behind the scenes at these things that are working their nuts off, but because Bob is the front man he gets the knighthood/*BE/honorary doctorate, whatever. It's media whoring at it's most blatant, and there are somepeople that make a lot of money from these.
The difference with Tony the 'guitarist', he was elected... We chose to put up with him..
I wish Bobbie G, would stop riding off the back of one hit and bloody band aid and just disappear.
Doe’s anyone out there say ‘OMG “Dr” Geldof is supporting this. I must sit up and listen.’?
Don’t get me started on Bono :-s
Mine the one with Midge Ure on the front. We know you were the brains to Bob’s ugly façade.
If you film someone with the goal of publishing it, im sure you have to get permission from the person you have filmed, surely the same is true for pictures.
After all, film is just lots of still pictures... :-)
I think this doesnt count if it can be proven that you knew filming was going to take place... like a football match, or a tv audience...
On the flip side, if the child knew the filming (papping) would take place and they went out anyway, then surely....
I thought this article was a good read.
I do believe there is a conflict of interests in the researching of climate change and it's a subject that does seem to have a very one sided bias.
I mean if you start a study looking into why the world is warming up, chances are you are going to get a great big fat grant to help you prove this further.
If you say we think the world's temperature is in line with historical analysis, how much money do you think that project will get?
One other question that has puzzled me for a while is why Bush did not sign up for Kyoto, maybe someone on the inside knew this might be a croc-o-xxxx...?
It's an interesting discussion...
