First burger made of TEST-TUBE MEAT to be eaten on August 5

Not made from poo, then.

I saw this an wondered if it was related to the story about Japanese scientists making meat from poo. Having read it I know it's not, but how would the Reg title it? This story seems interesting but from here it sounds as though it's going to be a gristleburger until they work out how to make it softer.

Limited Information?

Interesting point, that - only UK credit information shows up on the UK credit report. If they were sending it all to Hungary and spent only that cash a credit report would not have anything suspicious on it.

Also, if a bank account is shown it only shows a balance when it is overdrawn

Home taping is killing music

Good job that ban worked too, or there would be no music left to pirate now.

Still, if they do decide to ban the internet I do still have a cassette recorder attached to my radio.

If only I had some cassettes...

I am a criminal

say I was, anyway. I hope the computer isn't at his house or his business as I would be looking for addresses of both...

the excuse from the company that it was sold by an ex-employee seem a bit thin. Big companies I know of don't sell their old kit to employees.

why was it no encrypted, though?

Knoppix on a USB stick

says it all. I have Knoppix, found out how to get it to boot off a USB stick on the web. I could boot all of those knocked off laptops in about (realistically depending on if they were any good) 2 minutes or so and copy the data to something else, say a DVD. Then I could go and lose them on the train or something. Every sod else seems to be...

@AC Re: Anoniempje

I've been in the same position except with a virus email - some of the bounced messages had the virus removed and some "returned" the virus to our company complete.

Probably true about the data protection act

it seems to stop anybody telling anybody anything useful even if it does seem like a cop out. I don't even think checking your own credit report would help - can be done for free online at Experianand possibly also Equifax at the moment - because the money came out of an existing account. I wasn't aware of the original article so I thought this was typical Clarkson - brilliant.
