NatWest tightens online banking security after hacks' 'hack' exposé

Matthew Shaw

Re: Are Barclays...

Natwest have a card reader as well, you have to use it in order to set up new payees. So I don't know how the reporter was able to take £1.50 out of the account without having to set up a new payee. Unless the payee already existed.

Re: I fail to see the usefulness

You're right there is, but the point of beaming IR into the eye to provide both image and power to the receiver, means that this new system requires less surgery - less things to go wrong

Xbox running OK...

...and the download was fine for me. Just fed up with the change in some features and the whole starting point after booting it up.

Fed up already of the constant pushing of new products.

Not overly happy with the new experience

Two things I really dislike about the New Experience;

i) Your starting point is always the Spotlight - Where I would prefer to be able to control my starting screen (e.g. My Xbox)

ii) Also they have removed the feature where when playing a game and a friend comes on, if you press the guide button in time you are taken to their profile so that you can invite them into your current game. This was a great feature when hosting games, as it makes inviting people quicker and easiler

Rechargable Batteries...

...and whats going to happen to all of the batteries that have lost their capacity to hold charge? Throw them away in some huge landfill / bury them under ground?

Don't get me wrong, I'm in favour of electric cars, just think they have a chance to seriously look to the future and the impact they will have on us.

What about 5?

I would love FreeSat - but I am sad enough to want Channel 5 (for progammes like CSI and House plus others)

So I'm happy to stay with Freeview for now.

Microsoft folds-in Multimap for '$50m'

MultiMap was rubbish

I've been using Google Maps for awhile now as I found it much better than multimap. The number of times Google showed the right location of a postcode and Multimap was wrong.

Plus I love being able to switch to arial view. Useful for when turing up to a client's site I know what to expect (lay of the land etc)
