In order to install Windows 7, the minimum requirements listed below must be met:
1) 100GB RAM (1TB recommended)
2) 10 exabtes of HDD space for installation, only 9.99 eaxabytes required after install. 25 exabytes recommended.
3) any CPU clocked at light speed or above
4) minimum of 2 cooling towers
Note that these requirements do not incluse any user data, should there be any.
Have WHS for over 1 year now and no troubles with it. This is the best M$ product I have used so far (not saying much, considering its company). Does all it is suppose to do and does it well. I have used the restore capability at least 4 times and it worked 100% each time. I currently have 4.5TB of storage in it, mostly loaded with videos (mpeg rips of dvds) as well as music and photos, all setup on duplicated folders. I just bought an IstarHD to connect between the server and the HDTV. It's call V-O-D, video on demand.
As much as I despise M$ crapware, this is an exception.
bluetooth first came out. USB was also fairly new. I was tasked with investigating USB as a replacement for the soon to be obsolete RS232, used on engine control modules. After I completed the USB research, I was asked to look at bluetooth. Boy, I thought USB was a lot of spec to cover at some 300+ pages, but when I saw the bluetooth spec at just over 1000 pages, whew! I attempted to read it, but the caffeine just wasn't enough. I told my boss I wasn't gonna do amphetamines to get thru the spec.

I slipstreamed SP3 into WinXP by downloading the .exe file. I then installed WinXP-SP3 using VMware 5.5. Ran fine. I'm wondering if it will work if installed as the real OS (no vm). (I have an AMD X4)

"We expected something unexpected, but we did not expect this" This is redundant: "did not expect this" implies, actually demands, that "this" is unexpected. But the statement opened with "we expected something unexpected". So the statement reduces to "We expected something unexpected, but this is unexpected"! So I guess they got what they expected?
It "upscales" beautifully! My SD DVD's are indistinguishable from their HD counterparts. I can rent SD DVDs from Netflix and watch a "flawless" movie on my DLP HDTV. (Acronyms, anyone?) Yes, I bought early and will probably regret it. But I don't look back with any regrets, because I have near HD-DVD quality with all my old DVDs. So it's not a total loss.
I suspect that by the time BD becomes the clear winner and begins to get accepted in the market and broadly seen as the replacement to DVD, it won't matter anymore. Look for subscription based internet distribution of movies like Netflix and Apple (surely others, too) are working on right now. Meanwhile, I'll just keep watching my "near HD-DVD" quality SD DVDs.
