Tories offer NHS IT rescue plan after major patient data losses

Tories play bogie man fears to get elected

Once again politicians adopt the easy to say, tough to do act to play the bogie man card over data centres.

Aimed at the conservative middle classes (there's a co-incidence) to get electoral support for a something that will waste millions of pounds to implement.

In all honesty -a centralised secure database will stop the local amateurs from sending discs to each other and loosing the damn things.

once they are central, permissions to gain access and the national skills to remover personalised data will be easily available, rather than relying on the office boy who knows a bit about IT from playing WoW

Explains the lack of wiis on the market

I wondered who was buying the damn things up

its impossible to buy a Wii as Nintendo under-estimated demand this year again (see www.duh I screwed up again.com) or ebay if you have £400 to spare

It appears that insect exterminators have bought them all and use that as an excuse to play Tomb Raider on the job.

Virgins communication, a fine example to us all

My connection was okay at 7pm, then dead all night and today

I rang the helpful Virgin status phone number from work.

After 5 mins of pressing buttons, I was transferred to a different but scratchy voice (worn out methinks from overuse), that told me how wonderful they were and to check the website.

Where do they think i got the phone number from.

Virgins best form of communication is none communication; tell the buggers nothing and then they have nothing to argue about.......

Nothing to do with the excessive costs then?

My Sony FM portable, £12

2 AA batteries, last most of a year £2

Dab radio £68

6 C batteries last 32 hours, £9

Nothing to with inflated costs of the equipment then?

It's just a bunch of diodes and transistors, the hardware isn't worth the premium cost.
