Nice description of the background to the game, I would like to know the final set piece. I am imagining 1:1 combat with Kim Jong-un (a la Killzone 2 / Team America).

I tried to stop myself commenting on some of the mistakes in the article, but was unable to do so (it is Friday afternoon).

"leaving the reigns of North Korea... reigns he seizes with relish..."

I was not sure whether you meant "reign of North Korea", until I read the next line about "reigns" and "relish".

In this context, I think REINS would be more appropiate.

After an escape, a prisoner does not go on the 'lamb'. (Cue kebab and/or regional jokes)

It is more usual to go on the 'lam'.

Oh, "KIM" was mis-spelt also (final paragraph, first page).

A pint of beer to whoever finds the remaining grammatical error(s). :-)

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the War Room!"

Russian ambassador:

There are those of us who fought against it, but in the end we could not keep up with the expense involved in the arms race, the space race, and the peace race. And at the same time our people grumbled for more nylons and washing machines. Our doomsday scheme cost us just a small fraction of what we'd been spending on defense in a single year. But the deciding factor was when we learned that your country was working along similar lines, and we were afraid of a doomsday gap.

Mr Bigglesworth...

I wondered if the smurf was given a chance to earn his freedom by mining for coal?

Microsoft folds-in Multimap for '$50m'

Rick S

It was only a matter of time...

Multimap have been peddling Microsoft's Web services mapping for years now (to make up for their lack of a decent mapping SDK).

The next company on the list has to be DeCarta - Multimap recently leveraged into this company.

I would question the value of this investment - in the last 12 months Multimap has been losing small clients hand over fist to the 'free' Google Map's application. Apart from marketshare (to compete against Google Maps Enterprise), there is not a whole lot of benefit in trying to keep this lame duck afloat.

Thumb Up

Sensible Idea

This feature is a sensible step and will improve the accuracy of searches for Google Local, especially in areas with 'large' postcode footprints (retail parks, rural areas etc).

The adding of roads that aren't currently shown will come in, but it all depends on the type of data purchased by Google, just because it's there doesn't mean it will be purchased and displayed. Try ViaMichelin or similar (www.viamichelin.co.uk) for more detailed rural coverage.

This repositioning of POI is going to be a blessing for anyone who regularly has to travel to out of the way places!
