Nazis and Naziism are evil. No ifs buts or maybes.
People who oppose Nazis are to be applauded, supported and helped in every way possible. Not least by the Commander In Chief.

Theoretically.... It also leads to lost sales & revenue.
In my case I would pay for some sports, some US TV etc, but cannot find the paqckage that supplies my wants at a price I am willing to pay. The outcome? I don't attempt to satisfy my wants in this area (oh well) and the supplying company doesn't maximize its revenue. The market has failed, and it is an economics lose/lose. Why does the market fail? Because of the disproprotionate power of the individual seller to the individual buyer. There is nothing I can do to influnece the seller to change their product or pricing.
The taking down of one corporation - the medallion owner - is welcome, but let us not fool ourselves that Uber is a night in shining armour. They simply replace the previous incumbant with their own version of rent and barriers to entry, Furthermore, due to their size they are even less likely to play by the rules of corporate citizenship.
We are all being returned to a pre-industrial status, where people are merely factors of production, and the (very) few capital owners are not encumbered by government 'interference'
There are many reasons for a cyclist to move out of a cyle lane, ranging from "I'm turning right" (you'd be amazed how many drivers object to that) through "That's a big pothole" to "There's a car/bus/bin bag of rubbish blocking the cycle lane."
For the record there is no legal requirement for a car to avoid driving in the cycle lane, and no legal requirement for a cyclist to stay in it, so I guess that's a case of one rule for them and an equivalent rule for everyone else. There is no such thing as the 'car lane', but hey, let's not allow the facts to get in the way of a good rant.
From the Online Etymology Dictionary - Innovate "introduce as new," from Latin innovatus, past participle of innovare "to renew, restore; to change," from in- "into" (see in- (2)) + novus "new" (see new). Meaning "make changes in something established" is from 1590s.
Invention and innovation are not the same thing. Apple has always innovated.
the police don't kill people. Its not part of their job. Ever. Stop, Period. End
Being angry isn't a criminal offence; throwing a PC or a chair isn't an executable offence; being in an airport isn't an imprisonable offence.
I can accept the police were struggling to restrain the guy, but their training must have told them you don't repeatedly hit someone with tasers.
For all those terrified that their might be another terrorist out there - well yes there might be, but when you start treating the entire population as potential criminals, then you're giving in to the terrorists.
The correct answer is to carry on living life in a civilised manner, with minimal disruption. Sadly governments on both side of the Atlantic appear to be taking the opportunity to introduce methods that we thought had disappeared when the Wall came down.
