Brits can't distinguish history from the TV listings

Stupidity is catching.

Pretty stupid for sure. Shows just how bad the educational system has become. In America it is just as bad if not worse. Almost 35% think that the carvings on Mt Rushmore is a natural landmark. DOH!!!!

Nobel Prize winner demands more honesty from peers in green debate

Intellectual honesty!!!!!

Common, we are not into facts. We want hype. Who cares if it's true or biased. Just fill our brains with the Gospel of the Goreacle and the Church of the Global Warming.

We believe you brother Gore, tell us anything and we will follow you anywhere.

Tasers can be instrument of torture, says UN

Chuck Clark

Tazers are non lethal compared to a bullet

If you take away the tazers then they will only have the gun left. Tazers are an option rather than the gun. There are those that have died and will die but it is still much safer than shooting them.

As a 25 year Paramedic I prefer to see a tazed person than one that has been shot.

And for those that think that there are other options you live in a fantasy world. Try dealing with a meth head that hasn't slept for 4 days and is extremely violent and not rational.

The goal is to not get yourself hurt and a tazer is a way to reach out and touch someone without putting yourself in harms way.

Sure, some people have died but that is part of the risk when people put themselves in a situation where police have to deal with it. If you don't run up against the law your chances of being tazed are ZERO.

Tazer em all

I guess we should just go back to shooting them. This will assure their deaths and is not considered torture.

The UN is a classic example of why people that don't have any experience in real life should not make or comment on public policy.

Half of computer users are Wi-Fi thieves

Wait a minute here......

Since the UK is a mother may I country who loves to control and tax the populace this is a great way for the citizens to contribute to the welfare of the country.

Tax and license all WiFi connections. This is a revenue stream and an excellent control mechanism.

The UK could even set up a ministry of WiFi and grow down the road to require even more of your tax dollar. They could hire some wardrivers to find open networks and issue fines to generate even more income.

You have to look at the possibilities.

Okay, problem solved. Let's go down to the pub and have a few. Last one in buys.
