Just what we need here in the U.S., more bureaucracy. Why not just pressure the industries and agencies to fix their own flaws. You know this is just going lead to more insane laws.
Anonymity is something that the U.S. gov't wants to eliminate altogether.
While we were concerned about big bad m$ taking over the world, g$ snuck up behind us as a wolf in sheep's clothing. Many speculate that g$ is working on as os, possibly cloud based. What happens if g$ owns not only our desktops and the internet, but our information and our culture also. At least m$ was only wanted our pc's.
As a former ISR of a well known cable company, I can tell you that they (the corporate big wigs) don't really give a shit about their customers. This trickles down to lowly employees also. They have a policy of three strikes and your out based solely off of info provided by the RIAA which simply tied to an IP addy. While the IPs are dynamic, they rarely change.
This approach by the riaa would completely fall apart if everyone who does bit torrent sharing would start using proxies. It would have the effect of completely making all IP evidence completely unreliable. Maybe all BT clients should start wirting something into their code that by default use tor or something similar. Problem solved, Freetards happy and $$$tards thwarted again!
I have used both Xandros and Freespire and neither one was anything to write home about. If any Linux distro would be likely to sell out to M$, it would be Xandros. I expect within the next few years to see them sell out to create a M$ branded distro of Linux. And if anyone thought cnr was a good idea, well kiss it goodbye now, at least the free version, anyway.
What these two need is a new plan of attack. Gore would only be the beginning. They need to declare this as environmentally destructive, then they could famous movie stars with IQ's approximately equal to chances of these guys winning their suit. Then you could get green peace and the sierra club on board too. All you would need then were some trumped up claims of scientific consensus.
Paris cuz she's be against it. Mini black holes and strangelets just aren't fashionable.
This reads more like a sci fi script. Is this for real? Maybe the war commanders of the world have come to their senses and decided to fight all future wars in cyber space.
Those Second Lifers are harboring weapons of mass destruction. We will go after them with a coalition of the WoWers and MySpacers.
Surely something will come along that will out do this and we will all move on to it like good like sheeple. Some, yet to be born, computer geek like us will cream his shorts at the chance to emulate one of these drives in order to retrieve the data from it. But this assuming that the coming NWO will allow unfettered computer access. I guess though even the NWO will need data storage.
If human overpopulation is the cause of the catastrophic global warming crisis myth, then maybe we should stop trying to cure diseases and prevent accidental deaths. Reintroducing the bubonic plague couldn't hurt either!
Hey global warming isn't all bad. I'm sitting on some lovely future ocean front property in Iowa. Hurray for rising sea levels! Fucking Floridians have had good for too long.
for the likes of the RIAA and MPAA. These groups have done nothing to improve the entertainment industry only made it harder for us to enjoy it and given someone a second gold-plated Hummer. At what point will they just give in and realize the majority of people are tired of paying for someone else to live a life of luxury. The spirit of The Pirate Bay can never be destroyed and will survive long after it is gone.
The same models used to predict tomorrows weather are the same ones used to predict what the climate is going to do in a hundred years. What is the accuracy rate of your local weatherman? It would take Deep Thought to take into account all the factors that could effect the climate over a hundred years. I have studied climate change and I have read the UN report. I still don't find substantial evidence to support anthropogenic global warming.
