Remember how people complained when Apple was among the 1st to do away with floppys and then diskettes. Deja Vu with USB as you copy files via wifi, wirelessly. As moves to the future with HTML5 (FREE) to replace the memory-hog & slower FLASH, people complain. Try it yourself at:

Those of us who have been around a while can see technology trends, and USB and FLASH are being passed by for very good reason. If you don't believe it, wait a year or two for it to be clear to you.

Flash & Battery impact of iPhone Videorecorder Apps

Although I've noticed NO problems, could Apple be concerned that by approving CyCorder (videorecorder) for their App Store, the door would open for "non-savvy" users to fill their 8GB/16GB iPhone Flash memories with videos causing mass confusion or interfering with other Apps? Or, perhaps Apple wants to avoid widescale free iPhone battery replacements resulting from extensive videorecorder App use. Or possibly authors of iPhone videoerecirder Apps make more $$ outside the App Store via Ads, or have higher altruistic motives (but thy do take ads). However, they do deny many iPhoners (who are afraid to use Cydia) from videorecorder Apps on their iPhones,

Why aren't Cycorder (videorecorder) and Snapture (Camera with zoom & timer, etc) NOT on App Store? They're probably the best Apps and are FREE but require Cydia (unlocking) to download:.

According to former NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe, all Discovery astronauts could have survived if two things were done:

1. An inspection of the damage was performed via DoD telescope (as had been done on earlier missions and/or if the astronauts obtained photos with on-board cameras (quite a motivation for astronauts to cleverly figure a way to point a camera under the wing).

2. Once the serious damage was discovered, Atlantis was already on the pad ready for a rescue mission to bring back all the astronauts by sending up two astronauts in the rescue configuration with suits to spacewalk from the damaged shuttle to the rescue shuttle.

Heads rolled at NASA JSC for those who lacked foresight to call for item 1.

Just bought our 3rd iPhone (unlocked) for $70. AT&T and TMobile SIMS work fine. My son got a free iPhone from my cousin (who upgraded to 3G) as a reward for updating her WIFI. You'll also find many 2.5 an 3G iPhones on eBay W/O contracts for somewhat more.

Why unlock? As millions know, the FREE iPhone VideoRecorder (CyCorder), ssh, sftp and Unix works great on Cydia (10 minutes to unlock an iPhone). It's a remarkable handheld Unix computer which happens to have a phone and videocam. Thus, if you're enterprising, anyone with some knowledge and initiative can afford an iPhone. So let's stop the bellyaching about high iPhone cost.

Just to clarify, this time round, the 3G iPhone release is July 11 in all countries (same in Europe as in the US). Yes the GPS is better than any GPS on any other phone as it hs:

1. latest GPS hardware chip

2. ability to triangulate among WIFI towers

3. ability to triangulate among cell towers

Again, no other phone has all 3 with the smarts to integrate all 3

It keeps getting better - 1st "free GPS" for my iPhone as a Christmas present from Steve Jobs, then thousands of free WebApps from Internet radio to a flashlight, and now joining the Enterprise Business World (Beware RIM) and a sophisticated SDK (I just downloaded) promising a plethera of new native iPhone apps with significant cash to ingenious and innovative developers around the world. As I've heard a morning announcer of East Tennessee's Bluegrass music station, wdvx.com, say: "Who'd have thunk it"? :)
