That's my kid's phone!

I was sick of my eighteen month old son taking my modern breakable phone and doing what eighteen month old boys do so well - breaking them. So, I fished old my old 6310i, charged it up so it would have a bit of display to attract him and it has since survived being used as a club, covered in all manner of meals and even once, dropped into a dirty nappy...

Now that I know how much it's worth though, I'll have to figure out a way of getting it off him.

Retailers: Xbox 360 to win next-gen console war

Why do people assume there will be a 'winner' of the console wars? They all have their pros and cons. The Wii is the most popular because it's innovative and appeals to different generations of 'gamers'. However, this demographic is unlikely to spend a fortune monthly on games for the console. They will have a number of titles that will appeal to mass audiences but not the volume of sales that the 360 or PS3 will have. Therefore, it can't be classed with the 360 or the PS3 and should be taken on it's own.

The PS3 will take off when the games are available for it, no doubt about it. I have a Wii and a 360 but I would have bought a PS3 over the 360 if it had the game support that the 360 does. Both consoles will have their exclusives but most of the games will be available for both. Hence, no winner!

You're right, that is a stereotypical linux snob response. Let's face it - until the Linux community can settle on getting one or two distros working well enough so that the general public out there can install it with ease and confidence, MS is going to rule the roost. Ordinary users want a machine that is familiar, stable and simple. MS, for the most part, panders to this market. Until Linux geeks like you get it together and realise that you should be playing to this market and not slapping it down with trite comments, MS will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Surely we should be united against the common enemy and no, I don't mean the Judean People's Front.
