They have to talk all about how it was "Terrorists" now because their mountain of, "it's Russian Bots Bull Crapola" didn't work. As one of the thousands of Americans who Twitter closed accounts on for being a "Russian Bot", I'm not letting them get away with it. Jack Dorsey and his Twitter Generals are all about "Censorship". I don't think we should let them squirm out of their mountain of "Russian Bot" BS so quick...
If Apple can perform a nice "Back Stab" like this I wouldn't be surprised if they cut other corners too. That compromises their customers data security.
Now that I finally have another PC and Linux back again. I can just not care anymore hopefully. It feels so empowering to not have one of the many backstabbing scorpions in Silicon Valley as my sole OS maker/maintainer now.

...is when going from OSX to macOS, High Sierra has had me in shock repeatedly with all the bugs I've had to deal with. I've never been so livid over software issues on anything before.
At this point, I honestly don't think Apple can make a sensible minimally acceptable quality software. Having finally acquired another PC and using Linux Mint, the DIFFERENCE is STUNNING. The Latest Linux feels like OSX used to. This was an act of desperation to get everything I need to do off my Mac. With the introduction of High Sierra, my faith in Apple software has been shattered.
After having been forced by Microsoft to upgrade anyways, I can't believe how much worse Skype has gotten. It's amazing it's so bad. I'm in shock Microsoft would hang their name on this software. It blows me away any organization release to the public software this buggy.
You are 100% correct. I was once in sales. In sales we used to call this technique, "the power of the take-away". When people are on the fence with a purchase, all you have to do is "suggest" the chance of buying it is at risk and they knee-jerk react to buy.
This tells me a lot about Apple and how it manipulates customers.

Before they forced the update to their all new one, everything was fine. Then they deactivated it, forcing us into using this new POS.
The new POS (Skype) is such a resource hog it's mind blowing. It brings my 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 & 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM computer to it's knees. Text lag when typing is literally 2-3 seconds.
Google and their "Youtube" could use a little review as well. I have to wonder about their mysterious supposed "algorithm" (sic) and how they're withholding the conditions on how to not get "Demonitised" during a video's peak of ad revenue earning period. There HAS to be serious contract law issues there.
Pai is a corporate-globalist who wants to restrict the freedom/access of/to open discussion and collaboration by the population over the internet communication system. It's all about population, information control and profiteering (think toll roads). Only way to prevent the asshat from doing this is to force Pai out of the office stat. Anyone got any dirt on this jerk that can be released to the public? Any connections with Russia that can be used to force this idiot out with?

I can't fault them. They tried. They put more effort into this than any other organization I've heard of. They can't create that many software packages themselves. If the software makers they depend on won't do Linux, what can they do? Force them? IMHO it's a no win scenario.

I don't know what exactly transpired with illiad's encounter with forced upgrades but I have a story of my own about that.
I found myself saying WTF when I had thought I had it set not to and I still got hit by an upgrade. Then thought maybe I just forgot to set it. So I went and made sure it was set. I was even paranoid and rechecked to assure it was in fact set. Then got hit yet again by another one. You don't even want to know how pissed I was. I honesty think FF did issue some forced upgrades at least a couple times.
Working in contracted customer-support centers can be stunning experience in being mistreated as an employee. I've been there, got the bumper sticker, T-Shirt, prematurely gray hair, health failure and emotional scars... So I'm not surprised at that employee for doing just what he/she did! In my time in hell at one of those customer-support centers I've seen people leave horizontally, someone fall unconscious on a support call, others rage quit, throw head sets and even monitors.
Perhaps this situation is begging President Trump to do something about these Corporations abusive behavior toward working American employees at customer-support centers?
They will keep going until they win and take over total rights to Unix and Linux both. Only way to stop this is to kill the organization and keep it's agreements from changing hands to some other blue blood run organization. This is war. A war to control the population's access to free use technology for communication through control over the OS that it runs on....and PROFIT hand over fist!
