This is by far and away not the first attempt that 'the man' has tried to shut them down using bought or leant on stooges in the Swedish government / legal system.
There's a reason it hasn't worked sofar... Sweden has no intellectual property law, so how the hell they think that NOW it's going to work I don't know.
I suspect that the major players like RIAA and the MPAA have realised that they are utterly impotent with regards to shutting these boys down and have settled for making life as difficult as possible, dragging them through the courts etc, and the dirty tactics they got caught using recently.
I've yet to buy a console, but having played on both the 360 and the PS3, I'd much rather have sony's offering.
The only thing putting me off is the price! I think we'd probably have seen sales figures close to the original Xbox vs Ps2 if only Sony had hit the market at the same time, then with the massive extra revenue they'd have gained they could have brought us more decent titles.
And can someone please shoot the OS flame wankers please? Piss off back to the Leopard story comments.
While the points made (especially in the comments) are true and relevant, think on this.
The yank plane is the cheaper, and it is better. But they've been making deathware and planes like that for YEARS. The Galaxy is one in a long line of planes I believe?
Maybe in a couple of generations time (plane generations, not people) our military aircraft technology will be of a par with the states, but at the moment we're years behind, so our stuff is not going to be as good.
BUT, if we don't develop our own stuff we're going to be Dependant for ever, so maybe it's time we got started?
