It is not a single kid - it is pretty much all of the younger generations over there - it just needs the right stimulus very virtually anyone of them to kick-off. Not that it is much different over here either - another 10 years and we will have whole lost generations of morons.
Just to add: what are called knives in the media are generally actually ceramic machetes or jungle knives, not your average household knife or flick-blade.
In London, the key problem is the political-correctness has under-mined policing which resulted in a run-away problem - nothing to do with these soft-arsed floating about.
Perhaps if you travelled to the USA and visited a few of their stores you might not make such a ridiculous comparison.
These shootings are now part of the natural selection in the USA; pretty much the same as for any of those of the receiving end in a large number of locations around the world - they were just guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
You can also apply the same rules to London with all the machete killings we have - all due to too much Political Correctness and Left-Wing Agenda.

Indeed, but it should be of no surprise given that it has been considered as a cushy job and perceived not to being very demanding for sometime. This is not something that is unique to ICANN and is wide-spread across the industry. In this instance they have been exposed by being crushed by the irresistible force due to their gross failings to grasp implications of the new legislation. A lesson for all in the industry.
Some where down the line, we are likely to see supra-state controlled walled-gardens of the internet for enforcement of data and security regulations.
We already see this to a degree in the cases of China and Russia. Legislation currently in the pipeline both with the EU and the USA could necessitate the Great Redoubt of the EU once the differences become irreconcilable.

The data has been handed over. The new legislation is what Microsoft was angling for all along - it can now claim to be acting within the law regarding data held overseas.
Places such as Ireland might well want to assert the supremacy of of both Irish and EU law, but is it man enough to risk the potential consequences to the profitable hosting services? Any nation that might try to hold-out against the new USA law might find itself getting the same treatment as Tax Havens give the strength of opinion on the topic in the USA.
Sounds like a typical stitch-up by the big-league player; HPE must have seen this coming and acted to dump the divisions before the fall-off got too big. A bit of a rushed job by the sounds of the it, with a bit of brutal back-office surgery during the cleaving for good measure.
On the other side of this, a bit of a poor reflection on the MF c-level execs for poor due diligence - or would that be a case of them seeing the spin-merger as a way of cashing-out?
