Re: "so that US companies can dominate supersonic flight once again"
It's always good to hear the views of a real frontline aviator such as M. codejunky.
Tell us, did you fly supersonic jets or were you purely a sub-sonic, ground attack pilot?

"because NATO have to operate the targeting for these weapons and so NATO would be launching missiles into Russia."
Ah, it is so useful to have the foremost military expert on The Register comments section adding this level of detail to the debate. Could you please elaborate on these NATO operated and targeted weapons used to attack Russia and also explain why Russia has directly retaliated against NATO target?
You really do embody a true champion of the downtrodden political and pundit classes. Taking up the sword of truth and shield of justice to argue for those set-upon and held back by accident of birth, marriage or mishaps with Whatsapp chat!
Huzzah for your valiant defense of these heros of Fox News and conspiracy podcasts!
Where We Go One, We Go All !!
(Also, please do remind us of your educational path so that we too can aspire to your level of knowledge, insight and experience. )
"Or more likely, everyone here just thinks you're talking rubbish?"
How dare you suggest people think that Madam Codejunky posts are just recycled opinion and guff draped in bad grammar and simplistic angry culture warrior beliefs.
If that were the case then their posts would be thoroughly and consistently downvoted ....
....ah ...
... oh dear.
"Or that technology moved on and you dont seem to have noticed."
I must admit Madam, that I have not kept up-to-date with heavy current and electromechanical advances since leaving University. Where one did a small amount of study in the area of synchronous and asynchronous motors, load balancing and such like.
It was remiss of me.
How about yourself? Much time in the heavy machine lab ? What did you say you read at university...?
Oh Madam. Your failure rate is increasing.
This is sad. So sad.
No direct link has been found between any lab (including the Wuhan Institute of Virology) and SARS-CoV-2 as it first appeared in humans.
The DEFUSE proposal was not funded, and there’s no evidence that the specific proposed experiments were carried out.
A furin cleavage site can evolve naturally, and has been found in other virus families, though it is rare in close SARS-CoV-2 relatives.
Genomic analysis has not identified signatures of engineering (e.g., restriction sites, unnatural codon usage) that would clearly indicate lab manipulation.
Would you care to try again?
