Now the Republicans are re-energized and the rural areas are angry because "hey man that's my shit."

Both parties drive arms sales and the only people who might lose are the suckers who end up on some red hat's shitlist.

Blues are barely armed because of this. If even 3 million of those assault rifles were in Democrat voters' hands I would be shocked. Reds have their own arsenals and the passive cooperation of police and military personnel in "losing" serious hardware like machine guns.
