I once worked in an office where my work had to be done on an air-gaped computer. Unfortunately, that led to my not having access to the LAN printer to generate my weekly time sheet. Which never varied from week-to-week except for the date (it had to be filled-out a certain way to be compliant). On Friday's, I would get one of the 'senior' employees to loan me their approve USB Jump-drive. I would save my new time sheet to the jump drive. Then I would go into the 'lobby' where the printer was located, insert the Jump Drive directly into the printer, and print the time sheet.

My assistant had 2 computers on his desk: an air-gaped one for work, and a second one with internet access. He could do his own time sheets without the nonsense I had to put up with.

We had a difficult time every Friday merging our weekly work on a jump-drive and submitting the repository via jump-drive to some supervisor. Before that was implemented, the supervisor was simply copying the work during after-hours when neither myself or my assistant was on the premises, and on some Fridays, we left without 'working product' because we weren't 'allowed' to work late and get it fixed.
