Re: And that's why...
Software on my sister's computer is locally installed. Doesn't matter if the locally installed software thinks it has no valid licence.

You're making the mistake of using logic on the Internet and the mob has decided Mullenweg must be hated on and any point he makes. And while his tantrums are making that rather easy the fact nobody has forked WordPress does indicate he has a point. The big community players clearly believes the project is more trouble than it's worth to take on themselves so clearly WordPress has a free loading problem. Mullenweg just handled it in the worst way possible.
Because Intel is controlled by share prices now and short-term investors want line go up. Meanwhile fixing intel's cpu woes takes a long time. Clearly Pat had the experience and know how plus did seem to be starting that transition but line went down so off he goes. In comes the accountant and no doubt he will ride the crest Pat made then eject before it falls again.
But that's not what they're asking for. They're saying if the person is in their jurisdiction they should be able to apply their laws on that person and that includes being able to intercept their telecommuncations. There preferred option is literally just to give the user in their country the same level of encryption and protection they'd get if they were in their own country. When it comes to law enforcement and their demands that seems pretty timid and reasonable.
Not just grid storage. BYD is already building sodium ion battery factories that will start making sodium batteries for its cars. That's only going to increase their price competitiveness and given BYD cars have a standardized blade battery it would likely be easy to roll out across their existing models so I can see them rushing that out. While the west ums over it being "inferior" to li-ion china is going to show them otherwise. Then we'll have to claim na-ion is a security risk and we need to ban it :D
