Re: Total confusion

Other workarounds:

Win + E opens a new Explorer window whether it's in focus or not.

Shift + click on taskbar icon opens a new window for any app (I think!) that allows multiple windows.

> cars have had windows coded to a particular vehicle for decades

I thought that was to provide another way to identify stolen cars if the reg / VIN plates were removed.

Not to prevent reuse of windows from scrapped cars.

So not really 'pairing' as such.

But I may be wrong.

Re: AutoLISP: Worst Of Both Worlds...Not Even Wrong

Exactly this.

If you were a serious programmer wanting to extend Acad you'd use ADS or later ObjectARX.

But I used to write quick 'n' dirty little routines to auto-number terminals, say, or bulk prefix or postfix text, and AutoLISP was absolutely ideal.

And without the offputting syntax of BASIC :-)

Re: File list - easy way to create?

Select the files you want listed.

Shift + right-click adds 'Copy as path' option to context menu.

Paste into Notepad or whatever.

But it always shows full path, and doesn't show subdirectory contents, so not as versatile as dir.

Maybe I'm having one of my flashbacks again, but if I half close my eyes and kind of squint at it, it reminds me of nothing so much as a DeLorean.

Well that worked out great...

It's best to double up all the cabling, one set for the positive-going peaks, and a reversed set for the negatives.
