Dell thinks small with 2.5-inch SAS storage sidecar

Math? Meh.

What else can we expect indeed - obviously 5 letters are just too much effort, rather like dividing 21 by 2 - come on, do you seriously think we are that innumerate that you need to help us out? Hardly rocket science is it?

Besides, no matter how stupid you are, the average bloke can count to 21 - 10 fingers, 10 toes and so on...

Should have sent Lester that one if only for this gem of a quote :

“It was bred for rodeo,” Harris said. “It was not your normal cow in a field.”

"Heck, I've been in this business for over 20 years and I can't possibly name a single computer, operating system or program worth anything that has the "Made in the UK" label on it."

How about BBC Microcomputers - Electron, model a, B, master etc ending up with the first RISC based computer the Archimedes. If you`ve been in "this business" for 20 years you surely must remember Elite on the BBC B - thats got to be worth *something*!

There's always the Dragon32 too but then again that was welsh...

As for the Emoticon where's the "board troll" one? :)

Six Wiis sold for every PS3 purchased in Japan

Matt White

maybe...

depends what you want really. PS3 / XBOX360 is for the more serious gamer i suppose who's happy to sit on his tod and play away to his hearts content. Now whilst you can do that on the Wii, its nowhere near as much fun as playing tennis with the missus or watching her complete the silly games on wario smooth moves. Gears of War it aint, but its a great laugh.

I would imagine the reason the wii has done so well is that it appeals to non-gamers because its FUN, not serious. Yeah the graphics / speed / features / etc arent at the bleeding edge like the ps3 but they are certainly good enough and to be honest it doesnt matter how good they are because, once again, it's fun and that's what appeals to so many people.

Personal numbers must carry cost warning, says regulator

Matt White

What's a Personal Number?

Might be being daft here but whats a personal number then? Presumably not the kind where old men are looking for a like minded 20 year old blonde women with legs that never stop, DD bra size and a GSOH?

@Richard Foersom

"Britain has already long ago decided for the metric system and the transition is far underway."

Hmm. So you have no idea what you weigh in stones / pounds then, or your height in feet & inches or how many pints of milk you need when you go shopping? Or for that matter what the speed limit is.... Metric is handy for some things but I was brought up with imperial and you`d be amazed how many other people use it too (and i`m only 30 this year so hardly an "old geezer")

On the other hand the old dears out for a sunday drive appear to interpret the speed limits in kph rather than mph so maybe you have a point after all... ;-)

Pro golfer sues over Wikipedia postings

Matt White

now it has attention...

Fair point - he could well edit it back, but now he's drawn attention to it and isnt taking it with the large block of salt everyone else does when viewing wiki pages I cant help feeling he`s leaving himself wide open to more spurious edits from those jolly internet wags who just love winding people up - how many lawsuits is this guy prepared to file I wonder? Gonna be a lot of IP's he has to trace :-)
