Electricians don’t typically use soldering irons or power supplies. Electrical engineers and electronic technicians do, and I would expect a competent one to be able easily to design and/or construct both of those items.

Being one of the 1% sucks if you're a Rackspace user

Companies don’t exist to provide you services. Companies exist to make their owners and shareholders money. It is you who needs to rethink your position here.

Re: but I can see a slight flaw in this method

No, GPS requires satellites in widely divergent directions to give accurate fixes. This is call geometric dilution of position. Using Earth’s satellites wich are all clustered in on small spot in the lunar sky (assuming you could hear them) is pretty much just going to tell you how far you are from Earth, with a large error bar.

When we asked how you crashed the system we wanted an explanation not a demonstration

Groundhog day

Apparently it didn’t matter that the intern was unsupervised. He was presumably supervised the second time.

Re: It is a fine idea

There is no exposed high voltage in an open server case. That’s not to say there are no hazards, but high voltage isn’t one of them.

Study suggests AI cruise control could kill traffic jams by cutting out the 'intuition' factor

Fully AI cruise controls don’t require much safety distance. When you have reaction times measured in milliseconds, you can ride inches from the bumper in front of you.

Breaking the speed limit

They might run into a little problem when they realize there is no known electronic technology that functions between 1 and 100 THz frequencies. About 1THz is the fastest any transistors have ever shown any gain at. Much above 100 THz and you’ve moved into optical IR.

Re: Business as usual, then

You might not be aware that those IR leds you’re speaking of operate in the Terahertz band. Specifically around 230-350THz (1300-800nm).
