Hamster-in-rain emergency prompts 999 call

@Contest

"Publishing a list of the most idiotic calls will just turn it into a contest, won't it? Just imagine the bragging rights among your peers....

At least that is how it seems to work for the Darwin awards :-)"

Surely the winners of a Darwin are no longer around to enjoy breathing, never mind bragging rights!

XL Goodness

I'm on the 20Mb plan & I get 20Mb - downloads occaisionally hit 2.6MB/s from the fastest sites. I have no problem at all with Virgin's cable connection. The company is shit but the product is fine.

Somme-thing for nothing?

It's all too easy to get the download for free - personally I feel that asking £9.95 for this electronic version of the book is way too much. It would have been much better to have released it as a free download but request that readers donate to the Poppy Appeal. A paperback with relevant pics & maps etc would be a "value added" proposition and worth the moolah.

Letters from America

Is there no end to the stupidity, paranoia & greed from the Land of the Free?

Why not sue the makers of Scrabble - heck, I could make the words "BOMB THE WHITEHOUSE" from the tiles, which surely means that everyone's favourite word-making passtime is just a covert terrorist communication system?

Still, now that he's posted all his personal details for all to see I expect he'll sue Google again for making them available by a simple search.
